Thanks so much for this Monroe! I'm manic cleaning at 11pm at night...the carpet is wet but hasnt been sucked back up now for the same reason everyone else here is for. Its a shame because I really loved it for the year I had it!

Had my Hoover since July 2020 the motor got wet I forgot it outside on my porch and it rained anyway water got in my motor and I had to take it apart to let it dry out. Appreciate the help and instructions! Made it easier for me

I've NEVER EVER posted a reply etc online. But I MUST say your diy/fix videos ARE THE BEST!! You don't ramble on. Get right to it (big picture) and then speed the video viewing... so smart! That was I can go and look at WHAT I want to without shuffling thru every second. On that note..I have same issues as folks below. But for what it costs...just gonna get a new cleaner. ANY recommendations? Ha! But I do like to tinker and see if I can fix things so I appreciate to no-nonsense video and comments. Good Job. (aka my first you tube review💪

Awesome review 😊 and thank you. As for cleaners, I would stay away from the mini cleaners- Proheat Revolution is a good buy- Hoover Smart wash is similar. Start your research there. Thanks again

Super helpful thank you, the in depth explanations helped me figure out exactly how it works what the problem was (and gave me a chance to give it a real good clean). It wasn’t turning on, figured out Pedal wasn’t pressing the power switch, I gorilla taped a flat square piece of LEGO to the pedal where it connects to the switch so it now presses the switch and now it’s good as new

Also never would have found the screw under the wheels! Did not realize the wheel was held on by a horseshoe clip which was a pain in the but to get out, that was maybe the only thing missing from the video but I found another video for that (after a fair amount of failed prying)

I purchased 2 band new Hoover shampooer and both went out after one Time use

There were some changes made to these at some point. I've watched several videos on taking them apart and some models have Torx screws while some like mine have all Philips screws. Some have wheels that just snap in. Mine are held in by a metal C clip. Hope mine just has a bad switch. These are great for cleaning throw rugs and car mats. My main machine-Hoover Elite, has too much suction for small jobs.

Well friend, my motor is seized up. I'm going to try to break it loose and get it going again but odds are its a goner. They don't sell these motors (I believe you said) so I'll just scrap it. Thanks for sharing!

YEAH THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IV EVER POSTED A COMMENT. YOUR VIDEOS ARE EXCELLENT AND RIGHT TO THE POINT. I HAD THIS POWER BUTTON ISSUE SO I THOUGHT JUST BYPASS THAT SWITCH AND JUST INSTALL A TOOGLE SWITCH CAUSE THE DESIGN ON THAT POWER BUTTON IS A BIT FLAWED AND NOTICED NON CONSISTANT PERFORMANCE OF THE FOOT SWITCH OTHERWISH THIS SMALL CARPET CLEANER IS THE BEST IV EVER USED ITS CLEANED EVEN THE SPOTS THAT I THOUGHT WERE PERMANENT SO IM GOING MODIFY THAT POWER SWITCH AND THAT SHOULD FIX THAT PARTICULAR DESIGN FLAW.

Idk might be something with the foot switch if I push it with my foot like normal nothing happens but if I stab it with a screwdriver it comes on same thing turning it off a quick stab

Just curious, mine seems to have a power surge issue. I replaced the belt thinking it was that. Plugged it in and it turns on then makes this rev type noise where it goes loud then low and so on and so forth. Motor issue?

I know on the newer models there is a latch on the back of the tank that lets you clean it, but do you know if there is any way whatsoever to get in to the tank on this model. Both me and my fur baby have long thick hair and no matter how much a vacuum before I clean the bedroom carpet the tank ends up with hair getting in the tank and no matter how many directions I manage to try and spray it there is one thin line around the top of the tank that I just can't reach. Is there ANY WAY whatsoever to open the tank to give it a proper cleaning?

My carpet cleaner won't turn on again. This is the sixth one I purchased, and they all have the same problem. When you step on the orange foot pedal switch, the unit will not start. It usually will start on and off before it completely dies. It is a defect when they made them!

I took mine a apart. Turned on the switch, which still works fine. I don't use that stupid on/off petal assembly. It's a terrible design. I just plug the unit into a power strip and use that switch to turn it on and off.

How about a fuse.....mine stopped as well ,purchased it used it stopped right away. Actually 2 😮same thing happen in a row on both brand new Hoover Carpet cleaners😮😢

What did you push to get off the wheel?

The wheel shaft is designed like a Sheetrock tap in stud for screws. It expands at the end in order to secure the wheel. Just squeeze the tip and force it out

i have a Hoover Floormate deluxe and it just stopped working for no reason Ive only used it about 5-6 times with no issues. The other day i tried to clean my floors and filled up the tank and attached it and it started for a few seconds and shut off. Will not start after that

Possibly motor. Still cant rule out the power switch- if you notice the motor is positioned above the dirty water tank with a filter in between- Often times water would find its way to the motor and there goes the machine-

it could be the trigger or the auto receiver. I'll have to inspect this unit again to get to the bottom of it. I don't have one in the shop right.now

The problem might be in the reservoir that collects the water or in the tubing. One of the tubing might be split.

Could be. But first try running it without the belt and brush engages. Remove the belt and turn the unit on. This was you can isolate the noise by removing a moving part. Then you’ll know for sure

Check the tank make sure it’s sealed properly- seedy Bissell tips play like. Even though you have a Hoover the tips about suction will help you
