If you pinch the Aux Air Valve hose shut, it's pretty much proof the valve isn't working. It takes a minute or more to completely close when it does work which allows the engine to warm up a bit by adding extra air as if the throttle was open a bit.Take the valve off, and look through it. You should see a crescent shaped bit of light showing which indicates it's open. Now connect 12 volts to the 2 terminals and wait a couple minutes. You should now not see any light. If this is the case, then you have a connector or wiring harness issue. To adjust your base idle, make sure the engine is up to operating temperature, unplug the AAC valve, then turn the screw on the side until it settles at about 625. Plug it back in and it should go to about 650 to 700, then you know the AAC is functioning. That solenoid sometimes quits working, or the assembly becomes gummed up with oil over the years. Take it off and give it a thorough cleaning as well as test the solenoid. !2 volts touched to the terminals should make it click. It's a vital part of the system so it's worth ensuring it's operational. PS - you will likely need a new gasket if you remove it.

I didn't see the result of pulling a coil at a time in the other video. Did you find the issue, or get a setup that was running OK? This might sound odd, but go to the passenger side kick panel. Take the door trim off, pull that panel. Disconnect the 10mm bolt on the ECU harness. Have a look at it, make sure everything is straight, and then reseat it. I have had a car with a misfire that went back to the ECU. Once I reset the ECU, the car was on 6 holes.

If you’re having idle issues, check your BOVs. I have a R32 as well out here in Japan, and I’m having the same issue. It’s very common with aftermarket BOVs that you can have a leak. I’m moving back to stock for that reason. Hopefully it helps!

It is most likely a CAS going bad, BUT it could just be a loose wire. They are finicky things. The first thing to do is to just check the circuit. What else did you modify on the car? Reset the code/clear it. Then go through and check all the connectors. Look at the coils, the ignitor, and the cas wires.

Correct me if I’m wrong. Aren’t you supposed to leave the iac valve a bit more loose to idle right? My friend had the same problem that he had high idles. And he didn’t know why for almost a month. Then he figured out that it could be the iac valve on how it was put it. He then loosened it and it idled back to normal. This is just a past experience, so I could be wrong.

Hey Randy big fan. It looks like the code it's actually giving is 2 long+ 1 short. Which would be 21 - ignition. This would make sense for the misfire. To be sure you should voltage test the o2 sensor to rule that out. It's free to do and you don't have to wait for parts.

Did you already check tps voltage? Should be around 0.44V, if the o2 sensor doesn't fix the problem get yourself a link g4 ecu cuz the stovk r32 ecu's are just bad. A friend of me has a r32 gtr and had the same problem swapped the ecu out and and now it idles perfectly normal :) high idle means vacuum leak we also cleaned throttle bodies etc also check your brake and clutch booster you never know ;) good luck
