I wish your service department was better at communication with clients. I had to find my own parts diagram from the Japan home website to even get part numbers.

I love my Mitutoyo Test Indicator, I actually prefer it over my Interapid. It’s just more “friendly” and easy to work with, the bezel is so smooth. Keep making great tools Mitutoyo

I need a test indicator thats not vertical or horizontal i need one with the bezel where the side plates are that way when your indicating something from the turret onto the top of the part its facing directly towards me its hard to get a horizontal one into the perfect position especially if the machine youre running sits higher up

@@MitutoyoAmerica thanks I didn't realize they made those but I wish they made an imperial .0001 graduation one that'd be awesome

So yours are better because you make more money when one needs a repair. Got it! Thanks for letting me know never to buy a new Mitutoyo test indicator because I have to buy the whole movement assembly for how many hundreds of dollars? Compared to buying the single piece I need for a couple bucks.

Sir what is micron in dial test indicator
@MitutoyoAmerica2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question. Are you asking if we offer 1 micron graduation test indicators or are you asking how it is possible for one of our test indicators can pick up 1 micron? You can reach out to us on here, chat with a live agent on our website, or call us at 888-Mitutoyo (648-8869) and speak with one of our specialists or technicians.

I just returned one of your test indicators today because it was off by 1/1000". For a step of 5/1000" I would say this is about 20% error. I found a certificate of calibration in the box, indicated that the dial was tested and the error was less than 1/10000". I see that this is hot air. A Chinese test indicator under $20 produced better results. I have older Mitutoyo indicators, which are very accurate. What happened to quality control?
@windsurfer33292 жыл бұрын
@@felixf5211 This is nothing against Mitutoyo. The Chinese test indicator actually cost me $7.67, measures correctly, and repeats. I guess this is a hit-and-miss issue with imports: some work nice, some need to go to the garbage. I have a whole bunch of other measuring test equipment from Mitutoyo, they are old, but work wonderfully. They used to use top notch material in their products, all metal construction with no plastic, and that are serviceable. I know I am swimming against the current here as the last American stronghold, Starrett Co., has also started farming out their caliper production to China. Please see Amazon reviews on their $95 dial caliper.

I think Compac was the best but Hexagon killed it...
@drewjohnson47942 жыл бұрын
Yep, because today's fake button pusher machinists are too stupid and brainwashed to understand why quality matters. Compac indicators make all the rest look cheap. It's really sad that they had to discontinue them because idiots would rather buy Chinese junk. The stupid people are ruining everything.

In my opinion and most others interapid is vastly superior.

@@drewjohnson4794 i like how to interapid has more pressure on the stylus, makes the needle less fluttery when measuring across distances

100 % agree i think my Interapid tenths indicator feels the best and repeats the best for me.
