Hey , I watch your f1 style brake light . Question, should I put diode and what diode should I use ? Brake light I use is LED strip

You only need a diode if you want to isolate 2 devices (ex: LED strip) from one single power source. And if you need to use diode, you can use IN4001 diode.

If the LED strips is rated for 12V, it will already have built in current limiting resistors, and it will work up to 14V.

Is there any difference with performance using the silver .vs black ball joint? Just curious why you went with the black ball joint. The kit now only comes with the silver. Just curious. Can the silver ball joint be placed in the hole where you put the black ball joint? Also, I never saw you use the 2 silver washers that come with the kit. Where do they go? On the ball joint bracket? Or, on the lower ball joint? Thanks in advance!

The kit I got was an early production model where they threw all the parts in. Also the printed instructions is very poor. I ended up having to try all the parts in the kit and see what worked. With the length of the struts that I got, they will not fit the silver ball joint (strut was too long). That's why I had to use the black ball joint. It's possible they may have changed the struts to work with the silver ball joint now (hope that's the case with yours). This is why I showed both options in my video to help others. As for the washer, I didn't find a need for it. The only place you might be able to use it is on the ball joint (or not use it).
