Not so!!! The instructor failed to mention how a relay would act if the points get carbon on them. How to know if the relay is actually bad and what it is used for. Any two year old could explain how a simple switch works.

@@elenaolivares6965 What is a relay used for then? I think it has A LOT of different uses, there would need to be a whole separate video just to have time for it all i would imagine.

Way before i knew these existed, I wondered if permanent magnets themselves, when coupled with an electrical conductor, could serve a triple function of switch, wire & spring in a toggle. So that puts me right up there with Michael Faraday…s neighbors Dalmatian.

I would like to activate on a 18 hole green a light and a bell (at the green) running a wire to club house to notify cashier. After being notified cashier should have a momentum switch to cut buzzers. And buzzer should be ready to buzz for next golf ball. Did I miss it but did he explain WHY you need to use a relay? I simply came here wanting to know WHY you need to use a relay. I have fog lights for my van and everyone says I need a relay. So I’m just trying to better understand WHY I need a relay. What is it’s PURPOSE.
@CamieGwen10 ай бұрын
Relay is a switch that uses electricity to work, it can handle huge amps which is you need when you install extra lights.. while flip switch/push button switch etc can only handle small current.. so if you direct your huge current load into a switch without relay, most likely the switch will be busted.. sooner or later.
@121790tyler7 ай бұрын
How are you going to turn the fog lights off. A relay is a switch is pretty much what it is to be able to automatically turn something on and off
@dilldowschwagginz26745 ай бұрын
A relay is simply a way to control devices/parts that require higher voltages to operate while keeping the actual interface or computer isolated from that hotter current.
