I'm Australian and I live in China. First of all, it's highly unlikely there'll be a war. The American businesses won't allow it, this includes the military industrial complex, which will be cut off from components, especially chips, it would be very stupid. China won't attack Taiwan either, their leadership are very familiar with each other and knows where the limits are. It won't be popular for the public on both sides. This whole thing is mostly political, the people are actually friendly with each other. There's been reports of "imminent attack" every week in the western media for the past 50 years, well it's not very imminent is it? total bs. The only way for this to turn into war would be some massive miscalculation by the US, either to force independence from Taiwan, and I expect the Taiwanese to push back if it gets to that, or to attack China themselves, and that's very unlikely because they'll lose and they know it. If all else fails, Australia is too far away anyway, so in short, unless if it goes nuclear, in which case we'll all die, other than that we'll be fine. Good news I guess?
