This was awesome to hear, especially the going into the tub without blinking, wow.

Dang, saying those things to our goddess Hathor!?!? Good thing Suanne didn't have the hand device during that fitting or the costume person would no longer be here

During the show, I always thought Hathor was quite sexy, but I didn’t really understand why. Now that we see this interview, it is immediately obvious. I now realize that she looks a lot like Linda Carter. Her face shape, her makeup, her eyes, her hair, etc…. Thank you Suanne for everything you’ve done for us, and everything you are. You’re amazing, you’re beautiful, you’re smart. Everything that anyone would want, or want to be.

Hearing her story about getting in and out of the tub had me thinking about Kate Vernon's story about getting out of the resurrection tub in the reimagined Battlestar Galactica. Tubs are just not the best things to climb out of on camera.

Great interview David, Suanne was fantastic in the role of Hathor, and considering the uncomfortable constraint of her costume I think she played seductive very believably. Suanne was and still is,gorgeous in my opinion, and she has risen higher in my estimation for the way she handled the unpleasant costume designer. The sexist pig's comment at the casting meeting was totally out of order, and if she had kicked him squarely in the balls nobody would have blamed her, we can only hope those days are over in the industry.

Yeah, I noticed when she came out of the hot tub that her hair was dry.

A properly constructed and fitted corset does not have the problems actresses are continually complaining about. Women used to do a large amount of physical labor while wearing corsets. The problem is the costume departments being lazy and or rushed, not the existence of corsets. Also, it is women who are the biggest critics of women's appearance, not men. The "impossible beauty standards" women are always complaining about come from women, not men.

Interesting. I'll have to rewatch that bathtub scene and watch her eyes. That sounds really uncomfortable.

Funny thing is, what real life living historical women considered a corset back in their centuries and what 21st century popular culture considers a corset are not the same thing. The fit of the real life historical corsets was such that chores and jobs and housework could be done. There is lots of information about that out there, it merely needs to be paid attention to. But, hey, what's the point of paying attention to reality when reality would contradict the style the media seeks.

Not enough production time (money), for a proper engineering of the costume?

I think it’s more of making it look good rather than feel good.

maybe they should have tried casting someone _EGYPTIAN_ to play an EGYPTIAN.. 🤬👎🖕
