As a mixed race musician, I can tell you that the worst thing in the world for a singer or performer is to perform music in a venue that doesn't comprehend what you're doing. The vocals were perfect and the performance was amazing, but these drunk nincompoops simply had no clue what this music was. My advice, Brother, is that for future reference, always do music that matches the crowd. If you're in a Country bar, do more Country-oriented songs. If you're in a Classic Rock bar, do more Classic Rock. If you're in a Black bar, do more R&B, or Blues. By the way, this has nothing to do with race, but rather, the flavor of the crowd. You have to remember this even when all you're doing is karaoke. Match the music to the crowd so that when they applaud (or boo), you'll be getting an honest opinion from people who understand the music. Anyway, thanks for a great video. Keep singing and keep believing in yourself.

Next time just stop and tell your crowd, "Do y'all see that I'm up here trying to entertain you, so can I have some respect and if not, you are your conversation can leave. Now DJ can you turn the music back up"? Problem solved.
