Jim Carrey Not Wanted In Hollywood So Wayans Family Put Him On & Turned Him Into A Star
"Hollywood didn't want him no more because he just did this thing called Duck Factory, which bombed... Keenen was like, 'He's hilarious.' From there, he put him on and he let Jim go buck wild."

💯Those of us who are old enough to remember know Jim Carrey was floating around Hollywood for YEARS (early to mid / late 80's); we watched him in various stand-up specials and movies. It was obvious he was talented, but for whatever reason Hollywood didn't see his star potential. When Jim popped up on In Living Color' basically doing the same stuff he was known for in addition to new show material, the country got to EVERY WEEK how funny he was. He wasn't under utilized. Without In Living Color he Jim wouldn't have gotten the exposure he needed to become a star.

Never bothered him but he was always willing to say hi. One day I was waiting for my car at the car wash in the parking garage n he was like which one is yours 6’4”? I said, “the cheapest one the 330CI.” He said, “word!” His Bentley was done n he looked back n said this one’s on me 6’4”. Paid for my car wash 😂🙌🏽

As an outsider...being around these incredible comic minds...my jaws would be hurting from the laughter...what a joy to be around these kindred spirits. Why is there not a docudrama or a HBO special presentation on this particular era in comedy. And I'm sure that Jim, was just as in awe of the Wayan's family dynamic. Yeah..for sure ..you should have Jim on your channel. Big props!!! to ALL involved in exposing the audience to the backstory...
