I haven't seen Alien Resurrection for about 20 years, but when you asked the question at the beginning, I said aloud "Wasn't Brad Dourif in that movie?"

Brad Dourif, big surprise 😂 Honestly, I always figured the offspring was a hybrid of human and Alien, like the rest of the menagerie:

I never watched _Alien 3_ so I didn't knew the Ripley from _Alien Resurrection_ was cloned from a blood sample. I always thought the Company retrieved a rock or something that had Ripley's ashes and the ashes of the chestbuster she had inside her when she died all mixed-up so they needed a lot of trial and error to separate which genetic code came from the xenomorph and which one came from Ripley... I also believed in the theory that the alien embryos assimilate the DNA of their host's into their own to make sure they'll be adapted to their new enviroment once they fully developt so the xenomorph inside Ripley probably had human DNA already mixed with its own making more difficult for the scientists to clone it properly (the "gene stealer theory", as some people call it, also would explain how the chestbuster can grow so large inside the host without the inmune system trying to combat it. After entering the body, the creature basically becomes a tumor for a while untill its ready to burst)... in my deffence, in high school I picked the Social Sciences Batchelor so my understanding of Biology is probably on par with a 4th or 5th grader

i have a bit of a fallow up question an or request, given how often people stick their faces directly into the hole of the xenomorugh egg. ive often wondered if the eggs release some kind of telepathic pull on viable species. the xeno's are eather mentioned or theorized to be mildly telepathic at least with each other. the queen can command the eggs to open at will in aliens and the runner sensed the queen in ripely. hell even in alien resurrection the xenos sensed a kind of kinship with clone ripely bringing her unharmed to the queen. though a face hugger did try to get her as well. and in the first movie the egg that started everything sensed kane and opened dispite satis feild and the near vacume of the planet and kanes space suit which rules out chemical senors
@DiamandaHagan
@DiamandaHagan Ай бұрын
It's definitely possible but at the same time the people who stick their faces n the eggs don't know what they are and they've never seen anything attach to a face for purposes of evil alien weirdness, so I'm not sure it really needs an explanation. Tho the captain in Covenant was dim for doing it when the clearly evil robot told him to lol.

I still have a soft spot for this movie. Granted it's shlocky but boy do a lot of the effects still hold up. It has a lot of heart behind and in front of the camera and it's clear that they wanted to do things properly. It wasn't some ego-trip like with future releases, and it also wasn't a 12A damp squib like AvP. People shat on this and Alien3 at the time, but I think since then they have garnered a following as they still stand out. Like you can tell just from a screen shot what movie it is.

Decker shado did a fun pair of videos trying to scientifically analyze the xenomorph and Yautja species and explain what could be possible vs whats total bulshit. When discussing the mutated xenomorph species from ressurection and the newborn, he also concluded dr.numbnuts- (brad douriff) as the likely father. Id recommend him.

Ripley and Dallas are also an item in some of the non-canon books and comics. Like to the point that Amanda Ripley sees him more of like a step father.

A peak at Dallas' computer bio in Aliens also reveals he used to work for...the Tyrell Corporation. This, incidentally, adds fuel to my theory, based on mostly onscreen evidence, that Alien and Blade Runner...actually take place in the same universe as Die Hard. And Speed.

Given how the xenomorphs metamorphize depending on what animal the facehugger implants into it seems that the xenos are very genetically unstable and are also never shown to need their eggs to be fertilized. So to me it seems likely that the queen's form is based on the genetic material of what her egg hatched from, but on its messy exit, her chestburster form draws some of its host's genes into itself to use to fertilize further eggs, creating a strain of xenomorph based on the genes the queen harvested. However, in this case with the reverse engineering blending some of Ripley's DNA into the queen using mechanics that they themselves do not innately have, it resulted in a strange hybrid mutation in her secondary, human(ish) reproductive organs. That's a lot of glop to say, Ripley is both the Newborn's grandfather and father. Masculine terms being relative in this case.

@judgedeath3 Ай бұрын
Good video and good to see others debunking the Ripley was pregnant and that transfered over to the queen theory.... Although I would argue like the egglaying, the queen didnt need any fertilisation so no need for Gedimman doing things.... The queen likely started egglaying and after a while stopped as her secondary set of ovaries that is more human, started to work and her egglaying stopped and they escaped. She set up a new hive and instead of a new eggsac she grew the womb. she had Gedimman there, and if you look closely enough: there are other scientists and humans cocooned in there but they seem to be passed out. The queen follow their instinct and have them there cocooned to be hosts or food for her young.

Nice video it's really nice to see a new Alien Headcanon Fodder after so long and after having had some time to think about the video and the Gediman being the father of the Newborn theory and it reminds me of a really good and really dark Aliens comic from the mid 1990s that actually predates Alien: Resurrection by two years the name of the comic is Aliens: Labyrinth and in it there's a pretty dark and disturbing flashback by the books main villain Dr. Paul Church a scientist who's Xenomrph related experiments are the stuff of nightmare and in some flashback the Aliens who are very desperate to reproduce abduct a small colony of people including Dr. Church when he was way young I'm not going to say anymore then that but let's just say it's some pretty disturbing stuff that I am pretty sure served as inspiration for some of the more memorable scenes and plot points from AVPR: Aliens vs Predator - Requiem and Prometheus
