@@hydraulicfactory What I mean is, normally the steady rest (the part supporting the workpiece on the right) has a top part that can be opened and closed. The workpiece normally rides on 3 rollers. In your case it looks like you are using only the bottom part of the steady rest and not the top.

As far as I understand, you are talking about a ball bearing. This bearing does not have an upper part. It remains in place with the weight of the workpiece. This is always the case in heavy-duty machines.

C'est vraiment dommage que cette video soit accélérée !!! Pourquoi faire ça ? Il faut comprendre qu'en accélérant la vidéo on perd tout l'intérêt du travail mpontré car on n'a PAS le son correct des outils au travail métal contre métal, ce qui est de la plus haute importance. J'ai arrêté de regarder au bout de quelques secondes, on verra pour la prochaine s'il y a du progrès.

​@@shadowninja9699 1. Line up indicator with where you're adjusting (don't move from reading to adjustment, you wanna watch that needle move) 2. Loosen the lows works just as good as tighten the highs 3. Practice, practice, practice. What direction does the needle go for the plunger to go in?
