Today I show you how to make a electric bike at home. I used 48v 750w e bike motor for making this homemade electric bike. This diy electric bike is very simple to make at home. Four 12v lead acid batteries are connected in series to produce 48v which is used to power this homemade electric scooter. This diy electric bicycle really works good. Im also building an diy electric bike. Im ziptying the wires to the bike frame, but should i use electric tape to cover up the exposing wires?

Nice built. But the battery is much to weak. Without damage you can use 50% of a lead-acid-battery. You've got 4 x 4 Ah x 50% = 8 Ah. The Motor takes 750W / 48V = 16A. So the battery will last for 8Ah / 16A = 0.5h = 30Min. And after 10 Minutes there will be no more 48V. More likely 40, 35, 30, ...

Ok hopefully someone can help me with this. So im trying to build an electric bike too and i ordered a 24v 350w electric motor and a 22.2v lipo battery. The battery's connection is a xt60 plug and the motor has these a black and red wire with this golden thing on it to connect to a battery. Since the connections for both are different, I bought a xt60 to wire adapter so that i can plug the battery to the adapter, and the adapter to the motor. So to test it, i touched the adapters wires and the motors wire ends together and then there was a spark and a small fire. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

This not an easy way, it require good skill and equipment for welding, cutting. I would buy ready made kit that need just wrenches and pliers.
