I could see the style on both hairs, but I think it was a little easier to follow with the purple hair. It seemed like you went a little slower with the movements and you moved your hand out of the way more. Like I said you could still follow with Abby but it was a little difficult at times. I think I was able to follow it so well because I had just watched it with the purple hair. But still amazing nonetheless. I love your tutorials!!
@annagarner38445 жыл бұрын
I had the exact same thought! As in, I was able to follow with Abby but maybe it was because I had just watched it with the purple hair. Also, there were different tips and explanations in each video. I think it was beneficial to watch both, as you could see the technique clearer with the purple hair, but you could gauge how to manage natural hair with Abby

What a cool braid! I liked seeing both versions of your tutorial. It was a bit easier to see on the mannequin, but I think that was because you could use bigger chunks of hair, so it was very clear what you were doing. Then seeing the braid done with a more "normal" amount of hair gave a better idea of how much hair to actually be working with. Thanks!

The different colors of purple make it easier to see the movements of hair. Thanks for taking the time to make sure we could really see your technique. This is a gorgeous style

Very beautiful braid! Doris gets my vote due to the contrast of her color against your skin tone, but Abby’s was also great since I could see the process on real hair. I’m so delighted to watch these videos. It makes me long for the days when I was a practicing professional in the hair business. Braids were BIG back in the 70’s and I did many braided styles during my time. Thank you for sharing.

That is the best braid video I have seen. I do believe if I had not seen the first one with the purple hair it may have been more challenging to "get" it from the second one. In the first one, you seemed much more relaxed and explained and did things more purposefully which was helpful for me. Thank you!

I could see the detail in Abby's video, but liked seeing the second video's detail too. It was great to see the style on two different shades of hair color. Hairstylist here! I absolutely agree with the comments below - the purple hair tutorial was easier to follow and understand (and the color helps your eye make out what you are doing with each section) but Abby’s hair reinforced for me how to manage natural hair. Braiding synthetic is always easier. I feel like I needed both and would love to see more videos done this way! Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into both of these tutorials! ❤️

I think both videos have their strong parts. With Abby it was easier to see where you took the strands of hair and what it would realistically look like and with the purple hair it was easier to follow the weaving. Also you explained in more detail how you finished the braid with the purple hair, which I found very helpful. But overall I could follow both and will definitely try this!

This is gorgeous! I think you did a wonderful job explaining as you went. Very easily understood. Hopefully that holds true for me in practice as it does in theory!lol. Its very unique & definitely has a feminine quality that shows through-whether it's messy or nice and sleek when you finish. Before I even saw the video w/your daughter-I thought after hearing the early part of your description of how it plays out when you do this-I definitely would do something to give some texture or grip to the hair. Especially a child's silky strands! But this is just amazing, truly. Idk how you consistently come up with such unique ideas? Super glad you do though! Because of you I get people complementing & questioning me on my styles every time I do anything to my hair! Thank you for all you do! Love your tutorials!

You are so incredibly talented! Both braids are beautiful, they look a bit different due to the colors. That purple with the contrasting pink makes the diamond braid stand out just a tad bit more, but you were in you're in you're head if you're questioning the quality of either braid. One doesn't look better than the other, they just look a bit different because of the colors is all. You did an excellent job of conveying the process of the braid in both videos.
@QueenxXxofxXxGreen5 жыл бұрын
I really liked seeing both videos. While Doris’s brightly coloured and courser textured synthetic hair made it easier to see the style come together, seeing the style done on Abby’s natural, finer textured hair gave a more realistic visual of what it would be like to recreate the style on natural hair. Well done!

Thank you so much for this its gorgeous! I loved both videos. The slowness and precision of the purple hair mannequin was great, but I honestly liked the video on Abbey's hair best. Both great! So sweet of you to post both. The purple one you see the bottom part of the diamond much easier than Abby’s hair but I was able to follow along on both. Now just have to figure out how to do it on myself!
@sherrelynn52405 жыл бұрын
There were pro’s and cons with each version but together I saw the whole process and am glad you decided to redo it and show both. On Abby I see that you’ve stopped picking up the hair just past the ear so it didn’t take a bigger chunk than necessary towards the diamond. The second half on Doris was easier to see as her multicolored hair helped enhance the visuals and your hands weren’t covering the hair given the cameras angle. BEAUTIFUL TUTORIAL THANKS 🙏
