Hi Craig, Just rewatched your video on the CP6, thanks for making & posting....that thing looks good really up there at 12m...excellent made masts 👍 What does surprise me is the bandwidth, ok on 80m it's very narrow but that's only to be expected and the same can be said for 40m to a lesser extent but it also looked fairly narrow on 20m?....I must watch the video again to see your 2.0 swr points on 20. My 6BTV is below 1.5 or below across all of 20m which is what I expected the CP6 would be too... I have a CP6A here but haven't used it yet, I've only had it for a couple of years! 🤣, you have inspired me to put it together and see how it performs Thanks again for the video

Be interested to see what SWR you get and yeh it is very narrow SWR coverage

Thank you Craig, found no other info on this antenna. Looking at ordering as a back up to hex beam tomorrow. great video, and very useful. Andy VK6AMK

Had some cracking contacts on it now and it's held up fine to the 40+ mph winds we just had :)

Hi Craig, Excellent video and very timely as I am about to buy one of these. At around 0:15 you mention an 'optional voice coil for 80m' - isn't this standard on the Diamond CP-6S? Or are you comparing it to the five band CP-5HS? The CP-5HS has only the double element trap coil assembly and doesn't do 80m but appears very similar to the CP-6S. Please enlighten us all - Diamond aren't very good at advertising their antennas :-) The pdf instructions for CP-6S show a single element trap coil assembly on top and a double element trap coil assembly below, exactly as seen in your video. Diamond list options for the CP-6S in the form of alternative frequency radial elements R-1 and R-2.

Hi Craig, you should devise a little motor setup to move the 80 meter resonator in and out remotely and we can use the whole band, I see we as I would buy it from you to fit on mine LOL Nice video Craig All the very best Ian

What radio are you using? That SWR band scan is really cool! My FTdx10 doesn't do that

Hi there, I'm thinking about mounting a CP-6SR in our small garden. We don't have much space but we've got a wooden pergola I could use to support a decent telescopic mast (TMF 1.5 30ft maybe?...) and put the Diamond antenna on top... I'm not sure I could raise it as high as you, maybe 5m maximum.. to keep the neighbours happy! Does yours work when it's not 12m up?... In advance, many thanks for your time. Best regards, Manny 73 de 2E0HJN

Hi, I tried mine at various heights and the lower it went the worse the swr became but at about 5 meters it worked ok, not a great antenna to be honest, its just ok, its lying in the shed now and it wont go back up. All the very best with yours Ian 2m0lnf :-)
