Diamond Drape Earrings (Jewelry Making)

In this video Kelly will be showing you how to make a sparkly pair of earrings using Diamond Weave. Diamond Weave was created by Cath Thomas & Gerlinde Lenz. They published a book together called Diamond Weave and it’s where you can get step by step instructions on how to do diamond weave.
To do the project you will need:
Pair of Ear Wires
8 - 11/0 Seed Beads OR 2 Pilos 8/0 Bead Endings
116 - 4mm Bicones or your favorite bead
2-4 yards of your favorite beading thread
Size 12 Needle

Have this pattern from the Bead Magazine and is on my, "one of these days" projects. Took apart a necklace with this size of Bicone and now I know what to do with some to them in a lovely shade of Emerald. Thank you in tackling this particular stitch.

I’m going to try this with round seed beads and contrasting color thread; I saw a designer using the exposed thread as a design component, and maybe this will work that way. In either case, a very nice video. I looked through your other 2 learning-tutorials on this in order to gear up 🎊

Ok. I realize that most people won’t make this mistake, but I am an experienced beader and still did. So, I will post to save others grief. I put the pilos finding in upside down (I stitched through the large hole instead of the small one, so the small hole was what I had exposed to add my ear wire). The ear wire does not fit through the small hole of the finding. Duh. I’m taking the earrings apart and will get to practice my diamond weave stitch a little more! Great pattern, Kelly Dale! I love these!
