I'm sorry, but what's not to like about Metallica version? Note by note it is similar with the original, minus the vocal of course. Even Diamond Head member publicly admit and thankful that they've been able to make a living out of Metallica's royalties. I don't know, disliking Metallica version come off as weird to me

@@SymphonyOfDestruct99 There are tons of differences. I used to love the Met version but now it comes off too dry and forced. It feels dead to me, whereas DH version feels lively and energetic, not to mention natural and atmospheric. Now, the Dave era versions were awesome because they played it more like DH

To completely honest in the early 1990s when I was still a kid I assumed Metallica wrote it too. Then I came to realize almost everything they did before Kill Em All were covers of lesser known bands from the NWOBHM. Of course Kill Em All was basically all Mustaine Covers too haha.
