I know I'm weird, but i like to kit-up and kit-down. I feel satisfied with knowing that everything is ready to start the one I'm doing and after kitting down, i feel ready to start a new one.

No you aren't weird. You're organized. And that's a good thing to complete one thing before moving on to the next. I'm definitely like that at work but not in diamond painting. I'm the weird one 🙃

I love your chaotic energy, you had me smiling the whole video. I could honestly listen to you all day. Thank you for showing us how to roll up the big canvases so there is a manageable area to work on. It seemed obvious as soon as you demonstrated, but I would never have thought of it!

As a newbie to diamond painting I really appreciate this video. I don't like kitting up either. I was really happy to see that you start at the top instead of the bottom. I am only working on my second canvas and I'm keeping them small but everyone I watched said to start at the bottom and t's clear to me that I don't like having drills at the bottom and that they get in the way. So thanks for that. 😊

Thank you for watching. If you have any questions please ask them. If your comfortable only doing small ones, nothing wrong with that. Just make sure the image is too busy as details get lost in small sizes. You can check out the video I did of the cupcake. Small size with not too much detail and great results

The pool noodle is such a great idea!! Last canvas (and current one I'm working on) was/is a 90x120cm and I started from the side closest to me and moved away from me. Horrible idea for my back and getting fur from my clothes onto the completed area!!! Girl, where were your tips before I started my second HUGE canvas. I will use this tip for next time!!!

I do it that way because as I work on it, it's moving away from me, instead of in my lap. So there's less chance of dust and debris getting on it. The cards keep a straight edge and stops stuff sticking to the canvas.

I have recently started as in taken up this hobby 6mnth ago and thank you i thought i was the only one who just uses store cards etc to start gettong straight lines. I also find "Kitting up"very long process can take hours to kit up and then starting paining is delayed so im so glad i will be just jumping straight in more. Do you try to stick to 1 painting at a time? I have seen few experienced people do 2 plus paintings at one time but i think i could only do 1. Thanks for videos.
@introvertsanonymous6274

Thank you for watching. I have many "starts", but generally only work on one kit at a time. If a picture frustrates me from maybe too much gapping, etc I move onto another one so I don't either rip it to shreds or get bored. I eventually will get back to it. Do the craft the way it's most enjoyable to you. If you enjoy starting 10 kits at once and never finishing any, then do just that. If you start 1 and working on it is the most enjoyable part, then do it. Remember this isn't a competition, either from buying the most kits from the cheapest or most expensive companies or finishing how many kits or who has the largest collection. This is solely for YOU however your mind chooses to enjoy it. That's the point, enjoy. 😊

I am interested in learning diamond painting and came across your KZbin channel today. What is kitting up? What are you using to hold the film down so you can put the drills on and where did you get it from? Do you leave the film like it is or do you cut it in smaller sections? When you complete a secrion do you remove that film completely from the picture? Do you ever have drills left over from a picture? If so what do you do with them? Thank you for your time.
@introvertsanonymous6274
@introvertsanonymous6274 9 ай бұрын
Kitting up means putting your drills in a labeled container or bag so they are easier to find as you use it throughout the canvas. I use a cover minder to hold back the plastic. It's 2 magnets with a a decorative top. The top is placed on top of the plastic film. The second magnet is placed under the canvas. I do leave the film as it is even when the canvas is complete to avoid dust and debri from getting on it. Yes there is always drills left over. I save them for other projects or in case I run out of a color in another kit. You can check out other videos I did which will help you understand the diamond painting lingo a little more. Thanks for watching. I'll try to post more work in progress videos. I'm kinda shy about longer videos because I have to talk longer.

Everyone has their own system that works for them. I don't like kitting up at all. I do have them sorted by color once they are in containers, so it's easier to find. I do love it they come in the resealable baggies. Thanks for watching 😊

How do you keep static down. First time and I am fighting STATIC with getting the diamonds out of the packages much less into the containers.
@introvertsanonymous6274
@introvertsanonymous6274 10 ай бұрын
I've never had static with drills. I am static as a person especially in the winter. I think the temperature and moisture has a lot to do with it. I'd say keep your hands moistured and don't wear things like woven sweaters when doing dp. Also after moisturizing your hand warm up the drills between your palms as see if that helps. In the winter, I get shocked a lot and this is what helps to reduce that
