True friends are hard to come by. I’m now a 57 ex-smoker of 30+ years who has recently lost my job of 17 years. Kicker is I have a bum thyroid with a weight problem and physical limitations that will impede me from getting a new job. DP looks like it would be something that I could do to take my mind off the fact that I will soon loose the home my husband built for me and I’m lucky enough to have a son I can move in with. But at some point I will have a DP to do. I’m sure of it. Until then I will continue to crochet and figure out the next chapter of my life. Keep up the videos! I so enjoy listening to you talk about your life!

Thank you I enjoy your diamond painting videos. I'm going to use your method of using double sided tape. I am working on a square diamond painting now. It's so flusterating when the drills don't line up and start to buckle. Like you said I think the drills are to big or something. And I have a lot of trash drills. Thank you again ,watching you and listening to your stories is very relaxing.

I have lots of things to say and will probably miss some of them because I can’t remember after two hours. 🤣 I have that problem with a custom I have too. I’ve been working on it for awhile now because it’s frustrating that they keep buckling up. And I’ve done so much how, that it pisses me off to have to start it over again. Ya know? I have sarcoidosis too! I also had my gall bladder out. I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis in 2011 or 2012. I can’t remember. I started with it in my lungs and they thought I had lymphoma too. I also had it on my scalp, as it can present itself in many ways all over the place. It comes back every now and then but my lymph nodes in my lungs were really big when we first found it. Thanks for tagging me. I will try and do the tag tomorrow. I should of recorded videos this weekend but I was wanted to do whatever I wanted and enjoy my long weekend, so I was lazy. 🙈 I am trying to finish up this square on my painting and then will go read my book before bed. I started a 6”x6” square and who knows why I started something so big in the evening. I am half nuts. As always I love you and your videos. It makes my heart happy when I see you posted a new one! ❤️

I have to take notes on long videos to remember all my comments! ha! Are you frickin' kidding me??? You have the House disease too?? What a crazy world. They were very concerned about my lungs when I was diagnosed because that is what usually happens - but I was 'lucky'. Lazy is good - lazy is a way of life:) Can't wait to hear your answers. 6*6 square - girl you are crazy. Happy hearts make for happy farts! (sorry, couldn't resist the rhyme)

Ouchie sarcoidosis is no joke. My coworker has it but she not old. I think she was 30 when she was diagnosed. The late actor Bernie Mac also disclosed he also had sarcoidosis, but his attacked his lungs. Love your method for your kit organization. I always want to get straight into it, but organization makes it so much more fun. I thought I was the only person who used their feet to cool down/warm up with.

I know about quitting smoking once, I did that too....after 35 years I still have not had another puff. It took 2 years to finally not look for that smoke after eating or having coffee. It was so hard for me I was afraid to touch another cigarette, not I’m done! Yea!

Get enough containers and start with 'A' and go to 'Z', I find that they seem to only use 1-9 when using numbers, then a few containers for symbols. Not DMC numbers whatsoever. The canvas it not labeled in DMC'S. After the pic is complete place a few back into the bags they came in write numbers etc on each bag so you know which one it is, there throw rest away. No need to hold on to all those beads ever.

Hi Allison! I enjoy your videos! A few questions, please.... Can you post links to the set of little containers you got off of Amazon? I also got a set of them off of Amazon, but the quality was terrible (several wouldn’t close), so I had to return them. I’m hoping you got yours from a different seller than I did. Can you also post links to the organizer drawers you got from Harbor Freight and Amazon (and did you end up liking them as much as the HF ones)? I found some, but they don’t have the grooves to put the little dividers in the middle. I apologize if you’ve posted the answer to my questions in a later video, but I’m binge watching/listening and I must watch in order starting from the beginning, so just point me there if that’s the case. Lol! I would love to see a list of products you find useful or love. Do you have that somewhere? Abstract Crafter (Brandee) has a list linked on Amazon in her About section that’s really cool to peruse and add things to my wish list so I don’t forget about the cool things I stumble across. I know that you can post a link to a public wish list if you aren’t in the Amazon Affiliate program. Thank you!!

I am so glad you brought this up. On my current project I have the same problem. I was considering the glue idea. Man! I swear there are two sizes of drills. I close off a row and with the last drill going in 4 to six pop up. Right now I am pulling one and spreading out the others. I have found checkerboarding helps for a little while but the 6 place works best with uniform placement. Yikes! I hate how much time I take going back over what I completed instead of forging ahead. My canvas Isn't from either of your stores. Is it possible the resin makers have not standardized. I heard a lot of people have same issue with kitsch from Huacan. I think Tombow Aqua will work. Please let me know.
@AllisonRosenisacraftygirl6 жыл бұрын
Hey Arlene! I am also getting so frustrated with these canvas's and drills that don't fit each other! It totally ruins the experience. I have started to let the outside edges get uneven so that the inner parts fit better... The edges should be covered once they are framed - I think?

Holy shnikeys Allison! You tagged me and it took me a week to see it! Oh the guilt sets in... I will try to get my tag recorded soon. As far as what I would want to know, it would be to have the wisdom to know what I should know and what I shouldn't, and not want to know the wrong thing. But, I don't get 2 knows do I? Without the 2nd thing to know, I would know what the thing I should know is, but not the actual information that would be beneficial to me, just that I should know it but don't. Bottom line, I have no idea what I would want to know... it is 1 a.m. and I am not thinking straight. I guess I will have to figure this out for when I answer this tag myself. Thanks so much for including me. AND... I watch now at 2x and found a stash of double sided tape and can't wait to use it! You Rock!!!

Hi Allison, I love the new system!! I actually already got my storage drawers. But I was thinking before I actually take out and combine all my drills from all my kits, I'm kinda scared.lol. But how do you know the symbol for each number, cuz aren't the symbols different in all kits?? Do you just pull out all the drills that you need for that particular kit!!??? I'm afraid of having to constantly be looking at my key. That may slow me down big time. Can you please explain the process, I want this system to work, I think it's super cool, and I already bought the drawers. Thank you!!!
@AllisonRosenisacraftygirl6 жыл бұрын
Hello!! It's going to be OK. Yes, I combine all of the drills according to their DMC number, regardless of the key code. When I want to do a painting, I refer to the key to get the right DMC colors out of their drawers and create a little kit to use. This is where I add the key symbol to them. I hope that helps - I'm planning a video from beginning to end on this topic! Stay tuned:)

Hi Allison, I'm a new subbie on your channel. I'm a night person too. I am doing the contest on Gone Off My Meds, Abstract Crafter, & Everything Gwenny that starts Oct. 1st, 2018 & ends December 31st, 2018. It is my 1st painting ever & it is a Diamond Dotz brand & Michaels has in stock. I enjoy watching all the different channels for Diamond Painting. I hope I will enjoy it. I am thinking about the issues a lot of people are commenting about grid size, drill size, wrinkled canvas & glues. I myself wonder what age group is responsible for the product they are shipping out & how long have they have been in this type of manufacturing position. I think each person male & female should be required to do a small round & small square full drill canvas so they literally understand what they are shipping out to general public. I think the youth, of the USA & worldwide don't give a crap as long as they get a check. I'm going to try to keep up with all the channels.

But at some point I will have a DP to do. I’m sure of it. Until then I will continue to crochet and figure out the next chapter of my life. Keep up the videos! I so enjoy listening to you talk about your life!
