Thanks Lindsay! I liked the cutting with pen tip idea and taping the corners down. Common sense but things i didn't think of! I love simply gilded and scotch expressions too 😆

I use them to frame and protect the sticky edges. But to divide sections I just use a simple marker, the tape is often just to beautiful to waste!

When I cut my plastic I always leave one side attached and then fold it back. If I pull the whole thing off but don’t finish the section all at once, I don’t trust myself to put the plastic back on the correct side 😬 Also, I LOVE WASHI!! 😂😂 I also have collected washi for years before I started diamond painting. But they are all “my precious” (said in a Gollum voice), so I don’t use them for diamond painting 😂 I do use washi for DPing, just not from my precious collection.

I been dp for a while now be appreciate any new tips or suggestions. I have been sectioning off in rows since I can’t always dp or can’t don’t have enough time to focus on it. I would like to try like you said sectioning off maybe by color or objects and see how that works out.

Thank you for showing using scissors along the side of the washi tape. I was wondering how one can cut the tape in half when so thin. On my newest painting I used wide masking tape and cutting it in half. Next time I’ll use the fun/pretty tape. Thanks again for your idea.

Thank you for this demo. I tried sectioning and using the ceramic knife because I have one but I was afraid to cut the canvas and didn’t cut well enough so when I picked the cover up it tore on the edge so I had a tiny strip left behind. What a mess. I will try your lifting up slightly and cutting with a scissors. I work on large paintings generally and use and reuse a bunch of release paper. This would be smoother and easier, especially since I will be vacationing where the canvas will have to be moved a lot. Peace and love abide with you 💕

My very first custom canvas, I used washi tape to section the cover. First time using the ceramic knife, I cut right through the canvas! Arrrrrrgghhh! 😱😩🤯
