Ok, I think that came out gorgeous. I don't think a round HAED would look very good, but thats just my opinion. As far as the person who emailed you that they are not going to watch your videos, that's an absurd thing to do. Clearly, they think that their opinion matters. You have always maintained why you do this channel, and there are plenty of us who have followed you for a long time, so those small minded, mean people don't matter. I have an audio anomaly where there are just some voices that are like nails on a chalkboard to me if I hear them. This is what I do...I just don't watch those videos anymore. I don't write them and tell them their voices annoy me. I don't give them dislikes or leave nasty emails. I simply go on to the next one. People who do what that person did, have a problem and you don't need to deal with it. I commend you greatly for going outside your comfort zone, repeatedly, and giving us the kind of content no one else is giving on their channels, so thank you and keep being you!! Oh, and the tray wars are ridiculous too...lol. People get obsessed and lose their minds sometimes. I have purchased many 3d printed trays and have liked most of them very much for different reasons. However, I purchased Rebecca's trays (4kidsat147) and have never looked back. The reason I use hers exclusively now is they fit my hand the best. FOR ME, they are the best designed and most comfortable. Would I start a fight over my opinion? No, I would not...because that's just a waste of time. Thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks for the awesome comment! I feel like you described what should be common courtesy when someone doesn't like a video. I haven't gotten into buying the 3d printed trays but it good to know that the AMZ trays are good. Thanks very much again for the encouragement!

The benefit of the bigger hard plastic trays is they bounce the drills into alignment better and that's valuable especially if you multi- place. They're great for larger volume of one color as well.
@JoanDiamondPaints2 жыл бұрын
I don't really use larger trays unless I need to do a large amount of color blocking.

Don't feel pressured to keep talking. Watchers are pretty much just doing their own work so you're providing company.. a combination of silence, stream of consciousness, and tips about your solutions. If people aren't doing their own work while watching you then they don't really need these WIP videos and won't understand them. Also do you realize how many people complain about crinkling cover sheets in unboxing videos? Don't stress about it!
@JoanDiamondPaints2 жыл бұрын
I surprisingly have not gotten a comment complaining about crinkling plastic. Thank you very much!

I have been thinking about doing a heaven and earth design diamond painting for some time now. It looks like it might be complicated. But, I still find myself wanting to try one. Could you tell me what the name of your app for your computer is that you use. I have an hp laptop that I would want to put it on, or should I use my tablet. Do I need anything extra to make either one adaptable since they are not Apple products? I tried to cat h what little you said about your app while you were doing a. wip and chat, but my audio was not the best. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
@JoanDiamondPaints2 жыл бұрын
I use an App called Pattern Keeper. It is actually an android app so it should work on any device that has an android operating system. Most tablets that are not Apple actually run on Android so you likely already have the system. For my computer, I actually downloaded Nox which is an android simulator so I can use the pattern keeper on my computer.

I have the same pattern in my stash. For the AB's did you replace all the dmc's you listed for AB or did you use them sparingly for that color? For example 152 had 1141 in the pattern, did you replace all 1141 for AB?
@JoanDiamondPaints2 жыл бұрын
I replaced all the drills with the AB.

Diamondpainting6000 said it so well. Please do not change. If people loose their (in your case) tiny quirks, they loose their charm in the same time. You are so charming in your own way. We would not watch you othervice. 😊 And NO, you do not say um that much. Just enough to be you. So, again, please don't change. About showing your face. We do not ask you to show your face everytime. A short presentation in the start of a video is enough. And I am really curious on what you look like. About burn out, I think it happends when we strugle trough when it is not enjoyable anymore. It can be the drills, canvas or image. Or it can be the expetation from yourself or other that we do it even if we do not feel like it right then.
@JoanDiamondPaints2 жыл бұрын
Glad my tiny quirks can be charming. I'm not sure if I'll ever be brave enough to go in front of the camera. I probably wouldn't be able to talk.

You know, I'll be honest. I think it's just humanity. There are times where someone or something bothers me in a video and I start to type out a really long reply and then I sit and think 'there is no kindness in this, what am I accomplishing', delete the comment and move on...but the writing it out even if I didn't publish it can feel a bit cathartic without the downside of being a jerk for no reason. It's the old saying about no matter how great you are, you're never going to be everyone's cup of tea. I don't know why I feel so compelled to say something sometimes, maybe it just strikes a specific nerve I'm not aware I have. That being said, I'm a bit of a loner and hated it most of my life because I wanted to find a place I belonged and no matter how hard I've tried to fit in or relate to people, I've just never been able to (part of it is who I am, but a lot of it is also a childhood of being bullied and never having an opportunity to develop proper social skills). Once I had kids (my husband is the only person I've ever really connected with on a more than superficial level, so if not for him, I wouldn't have the kids either, haha) and eventually got a bit of time to myself, it felt different than it had before, and I've learned to really cherish being alone after so many years of having people hanging onto me every moment of the day. All that to say that I've LOOOONG since accepted that I'm essentially no one's cup of tea and even knowing that, having someone go out of their way to tell me as much would sting, I'm sure and it's because there is no benefit in having that information...like what do you want from me other than to make me feel bad? Especially if you're a stranger. It's one thing to confront someone who you don't mesh well with when you have to interact with them to just set boundaries or something, but it's something else entirely to go out of your way to tell a stranger their existence bothers you. There are PLENTY of youtube creators, big and small, that I don't like and many more who just don't fit what I'm seeking in either content, personality, being able to understand them, appeal of their filming setup, etc...unless they've done something directly to me, there's no point in doing more than moving on.
