I love your pens! We crate trained Molly and she still loves her and sleeps in her crate. She even closes the door when she wants to nap.

I’m happy you have Mugi. There’s a practice called tethering. You loop the leash around a belt loop or your waist. Then walk around with her for whatever activity you’re going to do. It works great. The pup learns to self soothe and follow you. I learned about it in a book The art of raising a puppy. It’s the story of the monks who raise German shepherd pups. Lots of good tips in there

Ohhh I may have to get that book. Bob does this actually. Especially if she doesn’t do anything when she goes outside. We have been having amazing success this week. I’m very happy 🥰🥰😘😘

Yes what Kari said, do yourself a huge favor and some sanity, get her a crate! Crate training will also make sure she knows that you are the leader and you control the space and she has rules. She shouldn’t be sleeping with you in bed yet, and you should not sleep with her on the floor! She should be crated at night to learn to sleep through the night on her own. Then later when she’s trustworthy and potty trained, then she can sleep in bed with you! You can also use the crate for nap time and a break for you! Especially with that breed, it’s important! More advice and I’ll get off my soapbox, you shouldn’t bend to her acting out, growling and barking at strange things by moving them. That’s a fearful reaction, but you have to show her how to handle her fear. Redirect her with a toy, or a treat and when she stops the growing and barking, THEN give her the reward. Good luck, you’ll have a great dog that’s worth all the time and effort, and sleepless nights, lol!

Hi Kim, good morning from Southern California. Beautiful canvas. Reminds me of where my cousins live in Nova Scotia. Despite the fact I own dogs, I am scared of dogs. I have been bit by my Dad's Brittany Spaniel, my Mom's Dalmatian and my Doxle. Now, there is just the Doxle Herschel, but I careful. But he is adorable. Enjoy your Rothie, may she live a long life. Out here in Southern California we are required to have a fenced yard. All Dogs are protected of family and property. Even my sister and I Cocker Spaniel Darwin Bon Jovi was very protective. So is Herschel Andromeda. Herschel maybe short and long, but he sounds like a Rottweiler when he barks. I would love to get a companion dog for Herschel. But my personal assistant says no. How was the earthquake? Being a Californian, I am used to earthquakes. We are having earthquakes in a town of Corona. Both were in the 4.0s. No, I have not felt either one. Why? I live on a major street. The first strong quake I felt was when I was in the ninth grade. 6.4 in Sylmar. The next one was a 6.2 on October 1st 1987 at 7:42 am. My parents owned rental properties. Well, we lost three homes. Found out in 1992 while we were remodeling the kitchen that our home had $92,000 worth of damage from the Whittier Earthquake. My Grandma grew up in a small town in Nova Scotia. She hated growing up in a small town. I grew up in Lynwood, CA. I shared the bedroom with my sister. Yes, I have a lot of fond memories of living in Lynwood. Your puppy is not sleeping, she is recharging her batteries. Love your WIP and Chats.

Hi Elizabeth, I would be afraid of dogs too with all those bites! 😫 enjoy your Doxie, they are so cute. The earthquake was a shake for a few seconds. No biggie. No damage 🙏🏼🙏🏼 It seems everyone who grows up in a small town hates it. But it looks so quaint and comforting. I guess I’ll never know. But I love the idea of it! I’m afraid to live in a small town as I get older though. Being near good healthcare is something I can’t not think about. So it is not in my cards lol. I’m a healthcare paranoid freak! Have a wonderful day!😘
