Morning, Katie. I love the idea of you giving a confetti to color blocking rating. I am exclusively a square diamond painter (don't ask me why, I certainly don't know) and I LOVE confetti. I get kind of bored with color blocking. I tend to work on one painting at a time. I do like some variety, though, in the types of paintings I work on. I will usually pick a painting with a totally different color pallette for my next project. Love seeing the progress on your cross stitch project. Looking forward to seeing the 4 panels together. Thanks for all you do.

Ive been going back and watching old videos started from the absolute beginning and slowly working through all of them!!! I love your videos your voice is very soothing and you are so passionate about what you are talking about and you are very authentic with everything you share. It always leaves a good feeling so thanking you for continuing to create these videos 🫶🫶🫶 3. 🍀🍀🍀

@stacyboatman75359 ай бұрын
Just a tip on the cross stitch conversion. It CAN be fun if you choose the right pattern, you are correct. In cross stitch, you go by thread count of the fabric. It's measured by the number of squares to one inch. Most HAEDs are done on 25 or 28 count fabric - meaning 25 or 28 little squares to an inch. Diamond painting canvases are 10 squares per inch. So almost 9 cross stitches can fit inside ONE little diamond painting square. It's easy to see how the translation can be lost on details. Larger patterns with less detail can look amazing - Hannah Lynn patterns are a great choice. Some of Anna Dittman's as well, probably Josephine Wall. I've done one by Carla Morrow that turned out amazing. Don't let this one experience deter you, you've already learned SO much by going through this process, things you can apply to your next project!

When you said you hate working on it sometimes but you want to finish it. That is what artists go through sometimes. It's either the method/process that drives the artist nuts but they're motivated to see the end. When you finish it, it's probably best to look back & see what bugged you. So when you try your next project try to apply what you SHOULD have done in your last project to enjoy the new one. Source: Traditional Artist that sometimes get bored doing my own work lol Sometimes its also changing the method, try something new you never done before, makes it enjoyable. Art is weird like that.

When I did my cross stitch conversion, I worked on it with 3x2 or 3x3 (of the 10x10 square) sections instead of rows. I think it really depends on the image itself or the materials on what works best when I work on something. Intend to mix it up for every project it seems because what works for one, doesn’t always work for the others.

I know I'm a bit late to this, but the migraine issues really spoke to me. I have issues with migraines for a multitude of reasons. Hormones- that one is the worst, if I don't catch it in time it's a 3 day migraine without fail. Do not recommend. Food- artificial sweeteners, almost every time. I LOVE a good green tea, but whatever sweetener is normally in them, I know I'll be suffering later. Anything "sugar-free" also makes me really sick. And then of course all the other factors such as sight, stress, weather. I commend you for being able to do anything with one, or after. The scatter and fogginess is real for days. Another thing I just thought of, I get silent migraines, where I will feel light headed and just off the day before my migraine actually hits. Might be something to help people. ❣

I like to mix it up with my diamond paintings. I did 3 very large square drill diamond paintings, and now I'm on my 3rd straight round. I bounce back and forth between very colorful pieces and then more browns/dark color paintings. I recently finished Hydie and then went to Queen Of Wands from Enys Guerrero. It's important for me to have a variety. I feel so bad about your cross-stitch conversion coming out so pixelated. It's still beautiful. I would have given up at the first panel just because of the pixelization. So high five to you! You have more patience than me by a long shot!

I’m an optician and your migraines could absolutely be due to your vision and eye strain. I had migraines for most of my life and once I got into optics I realized I had a binocular vision deficiency (BVD). And since getting corrective glasses 3 years ago I can count my migraines on one hand. It’s def something to bring up to your optometrist. Also, with your tablet/phone usage you would benefit from blue light glasses that can also reduce migraines in some. Food for thought!

I think you could rate your projects as well if you wanted, I just think that you don't have to highlight the ones you rated low. 👽👽👽👽 Hi Katie, good morning from Southern California. Make sure when you go to Arizona to visit the petred forest. Over the weekend I kitted up Golden Cocker Spaniel by Peggy Collins. Took me four hours just to put the drills in my Elizabeth Ward storage. containers. I don't know how to make this canvas easier for me, but my brain is telling me to all the 310 first. I told my lead therapist about Diamond painting and he went Yellowstone SuperVolcano on me. Said Diamond painting is a silly, ridiculous hobby. Said I need to find another hobby right now. I told him according to Google Diamond painting is perfect for people like me with ADHD. He said no Diamond painting is not. Then he said I better either resell them, donate them or do them in one year and more on to a new hobby. I was so upset, I asked him to transfer me up to the receptionist. I was not expecting this. I never starred wearing glasses until I was 16. Well, I had glasses. I needed glasses. But it took two concussions before I would start wearing them. I am very nearsighted.
