When it comes to the Research Reactors, however you build it, the key "ingredient" is redundancy. Too few steam turbines, and the steam room will get overheated, and in turn the reactor itself, resulting in a meltown. Too many turbines, and they won't work at maximum capacity. Same with the ammount of H2O for fuel; too little, and it'll eventually have a meltdown. Personally, I build my reactor setup with 4 rows of 4 turbines per reactor, and it's drop-off at the bottom. The drop-off site is a 5x2 spot with a liquid pump and Aquatuner. Pump to prime the system with H2O fuel, but mainly for extracting excess nuclear waste, and Aquatuner to keep the turbines cooled. Bottom row of steam turbines with pipe-priorities to refuel the turbine, and the other three to prioritize producing power. All excess water back into the steam room. All excess nuclear waste goes into a free-standing infinite storage- setup: 2x Radbolt Generators surrounded by airflow tiles, excluding the bottom two corners where the generators will diagonally shoot directly into reflectors. This storage contraption is an extra source of massive rads, so keep dupes clear of it's area, or get ready to mop up some vomit 😅 Most important redundancy in this setup: a switch to turn off the reactor's refueling process. If anything at all goes wrong, it's easier to shut it down than to pay the 4 morale costs of Corium Mining, which gives no other bonus to digging other than to clear the material in question. For anyone interested, this is originally @Francis John 's setup for one Reactor, so check out his channel, if my description is off in any way 😀

Francis's setup is quite neat. The way he mined the Uranium Is awesome

A little bit of power for the Radbolt generators... LMAO. I am sitting here debating if a second generator to increase research speed is worth brown outs at night when my Natural gas is dormant
@salemprompthous38202 жыл бұрын
If you get brownouts with a couple extra Radbolt gennies, start the Research Reactor. It'll easily produce atleast 50kw, and with beetas, you'll have a near infinite supply of enriched uranium

I looked up help with something and it lead me to around episode 60-70 ish where I just staid and kept watching, Did you just automate your sweeper to stop feeding weezeworts when your rads where full? I like that setup. I just started playing again since before wheezeworts produced rads and I keep forgetting to make a setup like that.

Great video as always Nathan I have 2 questions ?A) is Gossmann a male of female B) are you going to do a special video or something for 100K? Love your contant so much, keep going
@tbbt12152 жыл бұрын
A. I’m not quite sure, but some duplicants classify as X. Ex. Ari, Quinn?, and Ruby. Meaning that they don’t classify as male or female B. I would love to see something like that!
@Nathans-Sandbox2 жыл бұрын
Gossman I think is also X, but I called them a him since the beginning, so I'll stick with it. He never told me his preferred pronouns, so I'm assuming he's fine with it😉

instead of destructing the ladders to keep gossman inside, you coul dhave kept her in there by just setting the rocket to Crew. for some reason it's for locking the crew inside instead of just preventing non-crew from entering 🤨🤨

@@Nathans-Sandbox would really be nice if there were 3 options, or if the Crew button behaved differently by disallowing anyone else to enter rather than locking them inside. trying to use it as is with the Grounded button ends up being a hassle because it just complicates management rather than simplifying it
@Nathans-Sandbox2 жыл бұрын
You can set up a sensor and automate the grounding process, so it will do it on some planetoids but not others.

AI: It sounds like the viewer is having trouble following the content of your video. You could thank them for their feedback and ask them to clarify what they mean by “jump cuts” and “talking about everything except the subject of the video”. This will help you understand what they are looking for and how you can improve your content. You could also consider making a video on how to follow your content better. Me: Thanks for the feedback! What do you mean by "jump cuts" and "talking about everything except the subject of the video"? Should I make a video on how to watch my content to be able to follow it better? Sorry, I was hoping the AI would give me a better response, but that's what we got, so I'm rolling with it:)
