People do need to realise that at the $20-30 dollar mark ur not gonna get S H Figuarts articulation. I like to think of these as possable statue's.

I don't think anyone were expecting SHF levels of articulation, but when your knees have so much range but your elbows can't even do a basic 90 degree bend...there's a problem. If they're gonna take the poseable statue route, then go for that...no company should half ass it. These figures design shows that they intended for them to be as playable like a SHF...but that isn't what we got.

UnorthdoxCleric I don’t know about that man back when the raimi Spider-Man films came out the figures came with more Articulation than a early sh figuart fig and still costed around 15-12 bucks

I just removed the daggers from his hands. Trevor already had two with daggers. (Wolverine grip, and the other one where it looked like he was throwing it)

Just got mine today and immediately noticed Trevor's hand issue. Plus he can't store his swords on his side or back and the broadsword even has a loop but nothing to loop it too. I'm considering taking 1 of the 2 open fist set thar Alucard has and repainting them for Trevor or just removing the knives. Definitely disappointed as I've only owned 1 other DS figure which was the Hulk so I can't truly compare them. But sculpt is superb and I think I can make due with the limited poses available for some toy photography. Awesome video (wish I found it sooner lol) subbed

Nice review, but I got Trevor Belmont anyway. I will be getting Alucard sometime in the future this week after my paycheck comes on my birthday on Thursday. I removed the daggers from Trevor's hands, but I thought it wasn't that bad. Still, they're fun figures and I can look past the shortcomings.

Only just got mine... Day 1 and that small piece of cloth sticking out of Sypha's hip broke off of her... Simply TRYING to pose the damn figures caused it to fall off of the shelf it was on and snap off on impact. Can't even get them into dynamic poses because they keep falling over (in fact, watching this, I was kind of wondering if your ones were going to fall onto one of the candles, with how hard they are to balance / stay upright, especially so with Sypha).

I'm fine with the articulation in these. I've bought enough of Diamond Select's toys throughout the years to know what to expect from them. These do look really nice so I can do a cool display piece in my video game figures collection. I'm a massive Castlevania fan so these are a must buy for me.

If the elbows had a WEE bit more bend to them, as well as the hips having a LITTLE more range, I wouldn't have been as harsh. Aesthetically, they look AMAZING. It's like they stepped out of the cartoon...but dammit, I just wanna give them awesome ninja poses.

That's even more disheartening. Those figs came out YEARS ago. Although I do regret passing on them. Despite their lack of articulation, they looked sick as hell. Simon with that barbarian look, and alucard with his Sotn look.

Excellent review! I just received mine and they're a bit of a bummer. I find the face paints to make the characters look zoned-out or disinterested (Al and Trev) while Sypha's face looks a bit pinched. From a few steps back, they're fantastic, but up close the paint is not so tidy. I'm seriously considering sending them back without opening them up. I wanted to love them so much, but there are several meaningful drawbacks even only on the surface. Thanks for the excellent video and the accurate review!

Thanks Max! After reviewing my video, I feel like an idiot, I forgot to mention how syphas paint screwed up the sculpt. She looks great on the package, but sadly the paint takes it away. But for the most part, I'm satisfied with the sculpt.

Well...how do I put this...they're not trash. As I've mentioned before, they look great...but if you like to pose them everyone now and then, then yes, you're better off passing. So really, it all depends on your collecting habits. If you're thirsty for CV collectibles, id say get them. But if you got cash to burn, I'd recommend statues. And thanks for the compliment :)

I just got Trevor for an early birthday present an am happy with it. The hands with the little knives u can just rip them off easy. Didn’t really care for the cape cause it would have been hard plastic, so I rather make my own soft goods cape. The only thing am trying to figure out it how to attach the sword to the right side of the hip like the ds Trevor statue 🤔 but overall am happy with this figure. It ur toy do how u please.

I'm actually considering doing some mods to these figures. I really want to make them elbows have more range. And the hip area as well. As for the knives in the hands...man, I just wish we didn't have to rip them out in the first place. But I'm happy you found some enjoyment though.

BrooklynWolf 'The Collector' yea dude watching the 2 episode of castlevania to see which sword he use. An I decided to use the twist tie u came with an glue it to the back of the sword sheaf so it can hook to the belt loop so it will sling nicely gonna use a Gundam black marker to paint the twist tie or u can use a sharpie

Just picked up my preorder from Gamestop and I am disappointed, the paint apps are horrible. Trevor's the worst with paint everywhere, makes it look like a bootleg. The right pupil isn't even inside the eye socket, Sypha is cockeyed aswell. Alucard looks good though, i might just keep him and return the others.

If you ordered them online, yeah, at times it could be a gamble. If it were up to me, I'd prefer to buy these in stores, that way I can inspect the figure and make sure the paint looks good, especially for the face. You couldn't make an exchange on the spot?

Yeah I ordered online. Gamestop has 20% off all collectibles now so ordered another batch and will return to worse ones. For $16 I won't complain.

I got some good poses out of Sypha. You have to almost break her though. Lol Like, you have to take her arms off and have them barely set in place to get those really cool poses she does with her hand movements. These aren't great, but if you screw around you can get some cool shots. ''It's never fun when you have to struggle with your toys.'' That I AGREE WITH! Ugh.

In your attempt to be clever you seem to forget that diamond select are not known for articulation but rather sculpt. And the bucket that trevor comes with is pivotal in the final demon fight in first episode. Action figure enthusiast huh? Hmmmm

I didn't attempt to be clever, I am clever. Let's not forget that he was advertised with a cape, and he didn't come with the cape. And the buckets surprise cameo appearance which lasted for about 15 seconds tops in the first episode...clearly it was so powerful that Trevor purposefully nerfed himself by NOT using the WMD bucket against Dracula because he wanted a challenge...right? Man, I wish DS gave me two more buckets..Y'know, to make up for no cape. And the knives were so important that he couldn't let go of them while cracking that whip. Stay mad brah. But if you want to share how you really feel, show me on the Trevor figure where this review touched you. I'll be sure to not care.
