Maybe because it is very difficult to get value on him so people are not keen on learning Genji. Like I am a Genji main and I love playing him but in games where I get locked out of Genji, I get so much value just by playing Ashe and Cassidy and shooting heads from a safe distance lol. I sometimes wonder if it is even worth to main my boy Genji. Also I am a trash player so maybe that is also part of the reason

most of the same points apply to genji just as much as tracer. Of course tracer has a bit more mobility and can go for more risky plays due to her recall( genji has his deflect however i think you get the idea) but just look at these videos and dial down the aggression of tracer and focus more on holding angles, rotating early. You can still learn a lot since the concept for flankers still apply just the same. good luck

@@blacksuitedsonic genji isn't a great flanker tho, u need to play where u can get support which is an off angle to where if u get in trouble u can deflect ur way out and go back to ur team but if ur flanking and use one cd and don't get a dash reset ur cooked. So that's why I think they are bit different nil
