Got figure away to get there just after a good rain. But you got the right idea. When it gets tiresome or you feel impatient, that's when you take a pie break and focus on something else, before you know it, your brain is refreshed and ready to hunt again?

I went there the first week of July a few years ago. I don't recommend going there the first week of July. It was so brutally hot that I could barely move. Didn't find a diamond but couldn't work hard in that heat. I would like to go back again sometime but would definitely make sure its a cooler time of year when/if I do go back.

I’m a rock hound and I’d be washing all those rocks off and bringing them home with me! If I found a diamond...that would be fantastic but I’d be just as happy with all those beautiful rocks. Oh Irvin, I have a question. Have you ever seen diamond in sheet form or river worn with rounded off corners ? Just wondering about some of my “ rocks “ because the ring up diamond on my tester. I pretty sure I’m using my tester properly. Thanks ☺️🤔🧐☺️👏👏👏

Thanks for more great information. Every time I follow you or Solomon around in your videos I get better acquainted with COD and my next visit will have an even better chance. You show us that amethyst spot and I'll give up the info on where I got the material that blessed me with a 2 pt. diamond in less than 6 hours on my first and only day at the crater. Have you ever used an old window screen frame to lay on the ground and inspect that little area, when surface searching?

I'm only about 5 hours away but no way to get there. I keep saying I'll find away, just talk, I guess. I love the hunt but it's only the prettiest rock around here. I love the hunt, once I've found something I put it in pocket and hunt for a bigger one, it's hard to be satisfied when I can't pull myself away. I'm 60, so I get to wear my knee pads. My face is a foot away from the ground and I just zone in. It's like a meditation for me. I don't know what the folks in my town think. It's the people that come to my house that say, ' so that's what you do'. . . actually, I do a lot of stuff with the rocks I find. It depends on the rock, it's shape and design. Now the city has went and paved all rock driveways. But where there's a wiillññ .

@benjilee52794 жыл бұрын
A lot of the areas and landmarks are marked with painted wooden signs. But some places like the East and West drain are not marked. There are several maps, including a 3-D model of the park, that list all areas and landmarks in the park. The maps are in the visitor center and in the diamond discovery center. Once you get to the park and get acquainted it’ll come quick.

@DiamondMinerIvins4 жыл бұрын
I wish the park was open and allowed Electronic devices for searching. Only 20% or so of all the diamonds in the world Fluorescent out of my 30 diamonds I have about five or six. Most people never get one from the crater of diamonds in arkansas, they’re so rare. Thanks for watching !
