Thanks for trying Doni! I wouldn't ever use a spray because I would be afraid the chemicals would work their way into the glue area and weaken it over time.

Wrinkle Release is wonderful. I don't even know where my iron is. You use it without your iron. If a garment comes out of my dryer or closet I spray it lightly and you can litterly watch the wrinkles flatten out. Never thought about to canvas.

Hi everyone! Most of the time I roll the canvas opposite side of the crease and keep it that way while I’m kitting up and 2-3 days before I start and that takes care of the creases. Hello from the Philippines!
@DPbyDoni5 жыл бұрын
Hello to you too! Great tip! Does it actually remove the creases or just get rid of the wrinkles by doing that?
@sweetpeaa.24275 жыл бұрын
Diamond Painting by Doni I haven’t encountered a major world record crease on my diamond paintings but that’s what I usually do. I just roll the canvas real tight the opposite way of the crease. And I mean really tight. I check it everyday for changes if it’s still prominent I flip it over and do the same thing. Sometimes I also use a mist spray of water (not dripping wet, just a light mist) then I roll it tight again. One thing I noticed about diamond painting enthusiasts all over the world we encounter different problems along the way. Here in the Philippines because we are in a tropical country I personally have encountered the pink wax being too gooey, kinda oily and needs to be replaced more often. What I accidentally found out as I was trying to get over this hurdle was...because it’s wax it might harden up a bit in cold temperatures. I placed my unused pink wax in the freezer and forgot all about it and struggled with the piece I was using for a couple of days. When I ran out I remembered the wax I left in the freezer. OMG, it worked so fine had to share the hack to a local diamond painting group I’m in. More power to your channel and please keep on sharing!

You did find something. You found out for us that that type of product doesn't work. That will save us time and money if we go looking for an alternate way to take out wrinkles in a canvas. So I will stick with ironing. I also learned an easy to get wrinkles out of clothes without ironing - that is fantastic!

I use my cricut heat press. 210 degrees for 15 seconds at a time. Works beautifully for all of my canvases.

Do you use Teflon over it or go directly onto the canvas?

How do I remove creases that are on a canvas that already has the diamonds applied
@DPbyDoni2 жыл бұрын
Your only real option is to place heavy books on top of it for several days. Even then, you will never be able to get those creases out completely from what I have experienced.

I fold over my diamond painting to save room and put clips on the sides. When I take off the clips, the canvas looks a little wrinkled. I do this on a daily basis. Will these wrinkles affect the finished painting? I would appreciate your response.
@DPbyDoni3 жыл бұрын
So sorry for the late response. I just saw your comment. It will depend on what type of glue is on the canvas. If is is poured glue then it won't effect it, but if it is a double sided adhesive, it could cause raised areas called bubbles which can cause your diamonds to not lay flat on the canvas when placed.

Maybe we should questioned if it is necessary to straighten the canvas after all. My friend said she is just doing them and drilling will straighten the canvas. I am just doing (because I need it for easter) horribly wrinkled and stressed diamond painting and looks like her methode works. First I got some large bubbles (in canvas not clue) but now it looks fine. That is the thing with full drill paintings naturally.
@DPbyDoni5 жыл бұрын
Bubbles in a full opaque covered canvas will be an issue though. It will cause drills to not stay down if the glue itself is not flat. Like I say here, I just go with the canvas after it's been under heavy stuff for a while.

I haven't seen this one yet so here goes. I used my heating pad! Lay a towel on your table or counter top, put the heating pad on top, put another towel on top of the pad, then your canvas right side up, then a flat item like a cookie sheet and then weight it down (I used a scrapbooking paper pack for the weight.) Turn your heating pad on, check the temp before you commit the canvas to it as you don't want it to ruin the glue. Leave it on for about 15 minutes or so, then turn the pad off and let the sandwich cool before taking the canvas out. This works! Even after it cools for a while the wrinkles don't come back which I found happens using other methods.

@@cindyd.3795 I will have to do that experiment next!!! Thanks for the tip! :)

Will this work with a completed canvas? Having issues framing with creases ruining the end product. My canvas was laid flat with weight for weeks still looks horrible.
@DPbyDoni4 жыл бұрын
I guess it wouldn't hurt to try. You saw my results on an unfinished canvas, so I would expect about the same in a finished one. Maybe spray it down and then put it on top of a towel, drilled side up, and put heavy not on top. See if that helps her those wrinkles out.
