Brings tears to my eyes hearing this. Remembering the good old Bhangra fusion days. This changed the history of Indian music forever. Us Canadian Indian kids never knew a word of Punjabi. But music like this allowed us to learn. I even learned to play the Dhol and played on stage with the best.

@@AmritSingh-mj8bt Dhol's and Tablas are Bhangra my friend. Digital keyboard were surfacing during the late 80's and 90's in Desi music from England. They set the standard. How can you say the Dhol ruined it? Did you ever hear Apna Sangeet? Or Alaap? I mean they mastered the Dhol and Tabla with modern sounds. If anything it enhanced the old school Bhangra music so youths like us back then were able to adapt. And it worked.

@@SwastikaHinduSansrkit bro tabla and dholki were bhangra. but introduction of the dhol around 93 ruined it. yes they did have dhol in some songs earlier bit it wasnt the lead instrunent. the leads would be riffs played out on the keys. the dhol turned it into derka derka music because its the same beat over n over again. i dont remember alaap havi g a dholi and g mall in apna sangeet mostly paid dholki. they were great when nikki patel lead on keys. i dont remember hearing any great melodic riffs after 93-94 which is about the time bhangra died n aunty uncle music took over
