As a parent of special needs kids, one who definitely has melt downs when his day goes just a bit off, I've learned to not care what other adults think of my kids melt downs. I was spending a lot of energy worrying about what others would think of me or my kid and I realized it was just really bad for my mental health. Since doing that, I have really found my tribe and safe people for my kids and I, and I have learned how to shut down the negative people who just really have nothing to provide to our situation and have no experience with a child with the needs mine have.

❄️ I’m so glad you talk a bit about your children. I feel I’ve learned to be patient and non judgmental. I don’t think i ever was but I know it doesn’t matter what the situation is. Child safety first and let the parents work it out with them. Some are just teaching moments within the family. So thank you.

We got 6.5 inches of snow over the weekend where I live. We usually get ice, so it was a lot of fun to be able to actually build a snowman and have a snowball fight with the kids ❄️❄️

I do not worry about what other people think when my kid is having a melt down, not even after the fact. The mental and physical energy it takes to try to get out of melt down mode drains me of any effs I could possibly give to folks not immediately involved. I think the school thing is probably effecting you as much as it would him. The anxiety of change for spicy parents can be just as hard as it is for spicy kids. We don't grow out of spicyness we just find new ways to cope. Have a great week.

Hi Katie X ❄️ Thank You for the WIP and Chat. I'm in the UK and it has been extremely cold here recently -7 last week. It was made worse as our cat Alfie hasn't been well and he refuses to use the litter box so Dean has been getting up through the night to go out with him when needed. I haven't got children but I love my nieces and nephew as if mine and I have been so lucky to be able to care for them and even had the odd phone call when they haven't been feeling good and just wanted quiet asking if they could come and stay with us. Music lol when I was growing up dad's car we didn't use as a family except days out and going to our grandparents at the weekend. It was either radio or tapes. I can have a good old sing song with the old channels. I'm working on or one of my WIPs is I Miss You which I'm really enjoying but has been put to the side for way to long, I need to get it back out. I did watch your goal video and I have When loved ones are near. I'm looking forward to working on it but I have 2 other DASuk kits kitted up at the moment and 4 DAC so have enough to go at lol. Thank You again x Ellie x

Right after we moved to Mississippi, we were in the car with the local classic rock station on, and they played a Green Day song that was released the year I graduated high school, at that point about 18 year prior. As I get older, I find myself leaning more toward what my parents listened to when I was growing up.

🌨️❄️ That’s awesome that yall have some Chuck E Cheese passes when my son was itty bitty, I would take him and we’d play for about an hour or so. All he wanted was one of these big suckers from the prize counter but it was hard to get enough tickets for that. And you could buy them for like $2.00… so we would go up to the counter when we were done and I’d buy the sucker and we would give the tickets to a kiddo on our way out. One of our favorite things to do on a rainy, yucky day.

Lower Decks is definitely worth the watch (though I think that of most Star Trek things). Its funny and its 30 min run times makes it a little easier to watch than some of the other recent Star Trek shows that are an hour. They eventually do a cross over with Strange New Worlds, which is also a really good Star Trek show if you're looking for more. Not generally the same comedy vibe of Lower Decks, but still really interesting about Capt Pike's early career.

Truthfully, I always thought it was weird that the diamond art youtube people don't show their faces. It's probably the only stuff I have watched that some of the people (some for years) I have no idea what they look like. I enjoy seeing a 'real' person. I always enjoy Black Friday videos that the three of you do just to see your faces (well, that, and discussions about what AB's smell like). So, I am all for it. Doesn't need to be all the time, but it's great once in awhile at least.

I'm a HUGE Tamora Pierce fan too and I can definitely recommend rereading! I decided to start rereading again last year and started with the Alanna series, then moved on to the Daine series, then gonna read Kel's series and then reread the Circle of Magic books again! Her books are so good at grabbing you even when you're in a reading rut like I have been! Also, I can't remember if you've mentioned that you like Pokemon, but I know like a month or two ago you were playing a TCG game, and I just wanted to tell you there's a really fun and free Pokemon TCG game in the app store! It's really enjoyable. Just a thought if you hadn't seen that! ❄

Aww yay! I really love whenever I find fellow Tamora Pierce fans! I adore her whole library and think I've been through all of them a dozen times at this point. And that's so funny you mention the Pokemon TCG game - I've been playing it for a few weeks and I'm really loving it. Adam looked over my shoulder earlier and noticed it for the first time, and immediately went to download it too, haha!

I have never been one to judge parents on the behavior of their children as long as they look like they’re trying. But after my nephews came into the picture, my mindset changed from simply not judging when a kid is having a meltdown to having a mental replay of that moment in Hunger Games where everyone in District 12 salutes Katniss.

Hi, I'm a new subscriber and fairly new to diamond painting and I was wondering; what do people do with all the left over drills? Do you save them all?? And if so what do you use them for? I don't have a lot of room for storage so I haven't been keeping them. Just curious. I get alot of good info from your channel thank you.
@DiamondsandWashi13 күн бұрын
Hi there! Welcome to diamond painting, and to my channel as well! A lot of people do save their leftover drills - it can be handy to have, just in case you're working on a kit and run out of a color. But! Most companies offer warranties where they'll send out replacements if you do run out of a color, so a lot of people don't find it necessary to save leftover drills. If you don't have a lot of room for storage, I think you're probably okay not to save them, or to only save a small amount in each color.
