So many things to comment on today! First, yes, I do prefer cleaning when no one is in the house. I have no idea why, but I'm so much more motivated when I'm alone. Second, I have read the Throne of Glass series, and I did not read those two books in tandem. I read them without looking up any fan groups or anything, so I was on my own, and didn't know they were at the same time, till I got through both of them. I managed just fine with the cliffhanger 😊. Last, I enjoy hearing about your kiddos. Mine are around the same age (5 and 9), and it's just nice to hear from another mom going through the same things. I'm currently working on my drills and chills piece, it's a DAC - Spirit Lands Castle. Just love the colors in it! Hope the rest of your week goes well!🐾

Hi Katie. I enjoyed your WIP n’ chat and I always look forward to them to start my week off. I for one am a sectioner, thanks to you. It helps me feel like things are manageable in squares than the entire canvas at once. I’ve never used release papers. I also love sectioning because it’s a great excuse to use my washi tape. Thanks for the reminder about the Duggers documentary. I too did not watch the show but know of them and even had it written down to watch. I am currently reading a book called “The Notes” which is part of the BTS universe. I am listening to the Deadwood series by Ann Charles. They deal with mysteries and ghosts and have humor as well. I’ve gone back and am rewatching Teen Wolf (the TV series). It’s a drama and quite different than the movie. I am working on “Oberon” from DAC for Drills and Chills. I’m almost 1/2 way done. I hope the rest of your week goes great! 🧵

People are so weird! I don’t even like kids and I like hearing about your kids. More than that I LOVE hearing how you talk about your kids. I didn’t get my autism diagnosis until a year or so ago. The way you respond to your kiddos needs is so kind and heartwarming. I’m basically healing childhood trauma vicariously from your stories about your boys lol 💙

Hi Katie. Blue, huh. Well. I’m working on a blue snowy owl snack size from DAC for claws and paws. And it’s so much blue. 🙃 Also I am halfway through ACOTAR. Love it. I’m back to reading in bed at night and I’m so happy that this is a series. I love it. Thanks for mentioning it often in your videos. I’m gonna try The Fourth Wing too but maybe after I’ve finished living in this series first. I used to read voraciously (real books, not audio not that there’s anything wrong with that lol) until I started diamond painting. My reading just dropped off. Anyway, thanks. OBSESSED with that book I only havw 7 hours left & the next book is called Iron Flames, I think & that's being released in November😭 So now I have to make the 7 hours last!!! Katie, PLEASE tandem read EOS and TOD. 1000000000% worth it. I did the tandem read via audiobook and it is definitely challenging but there are ways that you can mark where to end on the Audible app if that's what you use! :) 💙

When I read through the ToG series I just read them one book at a time. Reading in tandem sounded confusing, plus I was reading the paperback copies and didn't want to lug around two giant books haha! It didn't really bother me, I found the stories both interesting enough on their own.

I listened on audible too so decided it would be too confusing to tandem read. I tend to listen while driving so it wouldn’t be possible to keep swapping. I loved the books but there was still an adjustment starting tower of dawn to ‘go back in time’ almost. Either way…. Well worth the read. X

I came around or remember you talking about reading 2 books in random and I nearly choked as I have a problem reading one and remembering what has happened. Was it this wip and chat or this year's where Adam has hurt his eye?? 🤔 oh boy I can see me having to watch all again. Hi Katie, good morning. Enjoyed your WIP and chat. Sounds like you and your family had a great time going to San Diego. Did you visit Old Town San Diego? I just got back on Saturday from the island of Maui. My friends suggested we take a drive. I didn't realize they wanted to go see the fire damage in Lahaina. Whatever you saw on the news is nothing. Think Hiroshima instead 😢. People were cremated. So DNA is being used for identifying ashes. You are like me, in regards to motion sickness. I used to suffer from motion sickness when my Mom would drive through Laguna Canyon Highway. Luckily now there is the 405 Freeway. We would go to Laguna for the annual Art Festival. If you have not been, go and also get tickets for Pageant of the Masters. You mentioned your cover minder was one you could put your own quote on. Which company was that? I want to enter Drills and Chills, but my Psychiatrist, and two Therapists said I will have to fiinish Dashshund Puppy first before starting anything else. This is because my ADHD wants to go all over the place. I have more than one I would like to do for Drills and Chills, but at 66 years old I am unable to remember the DP kits names. just wanted to chime in about TOG - i have read the entire series 3 times total i think. first time i made it to book 4/5 and then second time i read to book 6 (i used to reread a lot before a new book in a series came out). the third time though i did the tandem read. i personally really enjoyed the experience. i think if you really like chaol, then you would probably be fine to read them separately, but if you're not super into chaol and his character arc, i'd do the tandem read. it is VERY HARD to read about chaol and the new characters after EOS if you are not a chaol stan lol. if you get a little off track with the chapters, it won't matter too much since they're still very different stories :) i've read all of SJM's books multiple times (except CC2 since it's so new but will likely reread CC1/2 before 3 in jan) so i feel like i can give some good input!

Hi Katie. Im working on my Drills and Chills canvas which is Autumn Puppies by Tom Wood and DAC. Im also working on Modern Folk Embroidery Fruits of Plenty Cross stitch sampler from 2021. I diamond paint and cross stitch everyday. I heard you mention that you have your diagnosis for Autism. I was wondering about that. You talked about how hard it is to be diagnosed as an adult female. Did you tell us about what that process looked like in a wip and chat? If so I must have missed it. Im not trying to be nosey. I was just interested in how that ended up for you. I guarantee I ended up on the same ao3 video. I’m a shameless ao3 hp reader and read more of that than real books. Have you downloaded voicedream and started listening to the stories? Also, tons of people read the stories on podcasts 😊
