Greetings from Argentina. As already said, this is the wood grip version of the DIANA Chaser. From the mechanism point of view, both are identical. And, of course, both are great CO2 pistols if you want excellent accuracy. One detail forgotten: when loading the CO2 cartridge, there´s a tiny "lever" included which is used for tighting. Further, the CHASER version has threaded barrel end, allowing a suppressor. Again, excellent budget CO2 pistols ... !
@AirgunDetectives3 жыл бұрын
They should have used the threaded barrel on the Airbug. However it does come with a very nice muzzle brake that slips on an secures with a grub screw. You could get a threaded adapter or a slip on suppressor. A lot of airgun for the price😉👍

I have the pcp version of that the bandit, I love it, shoot it twice as much as my RWS 3400 and beeman underlever bullpup, cause it’s quiet ,accurate, easy and fun to shoot I get dime sized groups at 30-40 ish yards with it w H&N or JSB but at 20 or plinking crosman hollow points are still good enough I got a cheap Cvlife compact 3-9x40 and i still use it more than my Beeman underlever bullpup w hawke scope and it can keep up I don’t have a chrony but it’ll put a 14-16 grain .22 clean through fresh plywood the only thing is the pcp has a moderator stock which I like definitely worth the $175 or so I think it was 3 mags each refill but more power than Co2. How about testing the accuracy without the scope? You know, with the factory fixed sites ?
@AirgunDetectives2 жыл бұрын
When you use open sites to test any gun it becomes very subjective for the most part. If you have the option to use an optic you reduce the human error and focus more specifically on the actual performance and potential of the gun. I like to demonstrate the best possible accuracy during the review. Thank you for tuning in and I appreciate you leaving comments 👍🏻

@@AirgunDetectives yep made in China sold under the names Diana, Victory, and Artemis. The CP2 version has a different handle so when you buy the kit version you can install a rifle stock and barrel with silencer, and if you wanna go all out you can put a Diana Storm Rider barrel on it. The longer barrels give you a higher fps and fpe. It's weak point is the bolt action lever, it'll snap off if you manhandle it. Other than that it's a great little gun.

I bought the Diana chaser 5,5mm, I love shooting with it, it is so acurate and with the extended barrel with suppressor on it, it is a dream to have such a rifle /pistol for only 140euro The Diana chaser is the best rifle that I have and I have 5 rifles worth more than 400 euros that don't shoot so acurate and with the longer barrel you can barely hear the shots It has one downside, I can't get the suppressor off the long barrel
@edwardtaylor59182 жыл бұрын
seems the suppressor is held on by loktight. I've heard that by heating the barrel (in an oven), you can loosen the loctite and remove the suppressor. Don't heat it up too much. I'd start aroung 150 F. to start for about 1/2 hour and work up from there. Careful not to mar the barrel or suppressor with pliers or whatever.

WOW! Now, this was an absolutely awesome review! Never been much into target pistols myself**- but with a price like this, I do might concider to get one someday. Nice to get a dovetail rail also. Would probably put a red dot on it myself since gotten one layin around.. (** I did get once hyped by the Sig Sauer Supermatch target pistol - but the price was just too damn high. Probably same manufacturer as the FAS 6004 - the pricerange being quite the same also..) Nice you stretched the range also. But that 20yd accurqcy was just way sweet! Pellet on pellet might be a bit boring in the long run.. Imperfection is more challenging and interesting... and that's actually why I just love to keep messing around with the Virtus..😂
@AirgunDetectives3 жыл бұрын
Bror, You would really like this one! I played with the trigger again and I have it down to 8 oz. I may have to get a Chaser and do a comparison but I think i would like to try the .177/4.5 mm because of the larger selection of pellets. Not to mention a little higher velocity. BTW..my Virtus is still holding air. A few drops of silicone oil into the air chamber was the easiest fix ever.
@brorjordas19793 жыл бұрын
@@AirgunDetectives Yea. I have also been looking at a Chaser. They've kinda come across me lately in several reviews online.😁 And they're not bad priced either. Would like one in .177 with a longer barrel and buttstock kit for sure.. Way sweet to hear your Virtus has held as should. I just bought myself a spare mag kit this weekend (though I oughta bought it along with the rifle). Gonna drill slightly out the old belt that has a chipped pellet seat. Wanna see if I can get any tighter groups on target from 30 meters. Many have gotten them groups improved - but many also said they never achieved any differences by it.. But, since I got nothing really to lose - why not?😁 Bought also a tin of RWS Superdome pellets while at it. But according to my initial quick freehand test from 12 meters this morning - the RWS Hobbys still seems as the #1 to go to pellet for me. Wanted to get some RWS Super-H-Points also - but the store did not have of them shelved (only their webstore storage had a few of them stocked). My Virtus do seem to like them lighter pellets. The heavier the pellets I've used - the crappier in 30m accuracy.. The 18.21gr Gamo PCP Specials were just terrible the last time I shot of them..😂
@brorjordas19793 жыл бұрын
@@AirgunDetectives ...aaand I just got my Virtus assembled once again... I took out the extra bushing I had put behind the hammer spring on it. The last time I had it open I made the firing pin go deeper towards the valve nozzle, and while at it I put a bushing in there to make the hammer spring slightly stiffer.. I recrowned the inner barrel then also...but now I discovered that I had then installed the inner barrel the wrong way!😂😂 And so careful as I tried to be with the right direction. The receiver end of the barrel that is tapered was at the muzzle end and the tighter muzzle end was inside the receiver.. So, the inner barrel has not even been correctly installed even lately. Makes a short larger bore gap inside, just before the barrel begins... Geeesh!! Oh well. Could happen to anyone..😂😂

I bought a Camo carbine kit stock and forearm for this gun from Canada for like 60$ ish that turned my Diana Bandit PCP .22 cal into a total monster if you want this platform turned into a very small rifle. PYA sold me a longer barrel for 35$. The pistol barrel from my experience makes it more accurate than the longer barrel🤷♂️ 3-12x40 UTG side parallax scope is a winner y’all! 100$. Go figure! Grandson absolutely loves it because it is his size. He is 8. So far the Air Arms 16 grain are shooting at a max of 685 FPS and will hold a half inch group at 33 yards for 1-1/2 magazines from a Caldwell Precision Turret. Please keep in mind this gun IS NOT Regulated and imho since it only has a 50cc cylinder…reg would take up 16-20 cc or more….pointless for the money IMO. If it had a slightly bigger cylinder…yep…but for 28 shots per fill stock…nope. They are very accurate inside of 40 yards. Not bad for a pistol y’all that’s well under 200$ BTW buy an extra magazine…20$… you won’t regret it😉

After buying and using one of these, 177, for a month these are some shortcomings. My trigger was decent but wandered and finally needed loctite on the adjustment screw to stay put. Wish this would have come with a moderator just like the cheaper Chaser. The Chaser barrel is interchangeable with this. Would have liked a supporting barrel band. The Diana Stormrider band will fit this. A band and moderator are also available from Buck-Rail. Also a spare set of seals wasn't included. The two barrel end o-rings are an odd size and difficult to find. That said, a great airgun value and accurate. Well worth the money. I plan on buying another in 22 cal.
