Иностранцам наверно невозможно понять это произведение народного творчества. Это древние народные обычаи. Люди жили фактически на природе и обожествляли и реки, которые текли рядом и лес , и вообще всё. И в трудные моменты жизни приходили посоветоваться с силами стихии. Девушка сирота из богатой зажиточной семьи пришла за благословением к реке. Потомучто нет отца и матери. Она пришла ночью, что б лучше понять и увидеть совет от реки. Диалог с рекой. Среди тишины услышала вопрос , почему ты не улыбаешься? И ответ девушки, буквально всем подруженькам( деревцам, растениям, воде, земле , камушкам) о том , что надо ее благословить. Наверно она получила предложение о замужестве. И ждет ответ от сил природы, от реченьки. Но река не благословляет ее на это. Река не колыблется. Река как будто замерла . Это совет ей не торопиться. This is a very old song, before the baptism of Russia, about 900 AD. An orphan begs for help. She gets married and goes to live in a strange house, in a strange tribe. Her mother, father and brothers were killed. there is no one to bless her. At the end of the song, she sails away into the unknown. There are more than 30 versions of this song. In one of the variants, the girl asks the spirits to resurrect her relatives in the form of birds, so that they can fly with her.

I am not sure if anyone already provided the info but this is not Voice. There is a Russian version of Voice and it works exactly the same way (chairs are turned back). This show is called You are Super and is designed for disadvantaged children. Diana was taken into state care as a child and adopted. The show is meant to give a chance to talented kids that overcame difficult life situations. This is an annual show. Diana won that year and Igor Krutoy (who works with Dimash) actually gifted her an apartment in Moscow so she could move and enter university in Moscow.

The way you pronounced her name is pretty good, but there's a hard ch as in change . Subtitles are pretty spot on. Rechenka = River/ She talking about the Inn she has, and she has everything, Horses, and the pens are full of animals, the Inn is full with patrons, yet here she is, and orphan that "has to marry someone she doesn't want to marry. So she is asking the river what to do, she has no parents, and has thoughts of suicide. You have to love the sounds of nature in this, and the howling of the wolf and other critters. This show, You Are Super, is a competition for Orphaned and disadvantaged children, Diana was an orphan. So the reason of them facing the competitors is simply, if 3 or more judges hit the green light buzzer, that performer moves on to the next round. The woman clenching her hands under her chin near the end, is her adopted mother. She has a lot to do with Diana and her . success ; D You listen to so much talent out there in the world, can you think of any other singer performers that can come close to Diana or Dimash? And yet the American music industry seems to be turning a blind ear to these. I often wonder if that's due to contracts with musicians who would just fall to the sidelines and drift away. I believe Rechenka means River and is a folk song. Is impressive how she matches her voice to nature's sounds... and NO, is not a swamp, the stage is supposed to be a river... lol. hahahaha... I have 2 recommendations for you: 1. To see more of her acting as she sings and her funny side, react to her cover of Camila Cabello HAVANA (so subtitles needed, she sings in English). 2. Since you mentioned the Voice, she did do a blind audition in the Russian The Voice with the song Jodel Time. She truly went full jodeling (impressive), but the judges were confused as to what was happening and time ran out before they could hit the buzzer, so heartbreaking, but se reacted like the true artist she is. Try to get the one with the English subtitles so you can go along all their confusion while she was singing, and through all the regret afterwards... I think is a gem of video that not many people react to....
