Brandon has been mentoring Diana for many many years and honestly no one knows her abilities as good as he does and he has been working with her and lifting her up for the world to see her abilities as you will discover and many times he does this behind the scenes and sometimes he performs with her he has been a extreme positive influence in her career they are very close and very magical together and if you would like to see other performances that she has done that he has an influence in she has a performance. Может быть к сожалению, а может быть к счастью Диана отказалась от сотрудничества с очень знаменитыми продюсерами и только Брендон смог расположить её к себе благодаря доброму сердцу и бескорыстному сотрудничеству. Многие хотели бы заработать на Диане, но не учли того, что она очень свободолюбивый человек и настоящий большой артист не смотря на свою молодость она уже более 15 лет на сцене и за это время спела не одну сотню произведений. То что может Диана в мире могут единицы и то что она не гонится за сиюминутной славой делает ей честь. Брендон чрезвычайно образованный джазовый музыкант и пианист у него немело прекрасных песен, но Диана настолько особенная и всесторонне одарённая, что написать для нее мировой хит очень трудная задача. Возможно в мире есть композитор способный в полной мере раскрыть ее возможности но об этом мы узнаем в будущем близком или далёком покажет жизнь.

Diana always holds back in her duets, since she is capable of going low she is usually the one that sings the base voice and lets her partner shine more but in cases where she is allowed to open her mouth just a bit more then she immediately drowns her duet's voice like in this case, Diana went where Brandon or anyone else for that matter could not follow, only when she was in check they harmonized together. One duet where Diana was able to go all out was on the masked singer show when she sang together with the male Bass renowned Opera singer Ildar Abdrazakov, he has one of the most powerful male voices in the world and duets between a Bass and a Contralto just do not happen so it is a treat that very few have the chance to listen in their lives, they sing the song "I am grateful to you". Her highs sound different because as a natural Dramatic Contralto she carries the weight of her voice all the way to her high notes, all the Soprano voices reaching this high turn to whistle this is natural (and annoying to my ears) but Diana sings her highs in what is called "Super head voice" it is a different technique than "whistle" way harder to achieve but the notes can be heard clearer and you have better control over them, Whistle is easier to achieve but you have less control. Brandon is an incredible composer and he has mainly composed most of Diana's original songs, he only wrote a couple of them, he knows her voice very well and he was actually the one that kept pushing her to sing high. His compositions for Diana are amazing and different each time, you might no liked this song (Personally i loved it) but i am sure that you will find many others that you will like, he is bold and he is changing his compositions for her all the time. If you want to listen to some other songs Brandon Composed for Diana that are way different than this then try "In my huge city", "As your voice", "In to the sky", "So it happened the me rode away". If you are more in the mood to listen to something magical and way out of the ordinary then go for her movie soundtrack songs like "Baikal" from the movie Spirit of "Baikal" where Diana plays the role of the spirit herself and the soundtrack of the movie "Dune". On another note i like your new thumbnails they are classy and they give an identity to your videos, i suggest that you use a colored picture for the video you watch, keep black and white your photo and the top and bottom bars, this will make your thumbnails pop more and differ from each other because right now someone will not be able to differentiate with a glance between two of your own videos on a small screen like a mobile phone they will all look the same, this is my opinion, you can take it or not, remember have fun doing this and it will go well.

As you can probably tell, I am going through Diana's repertoire song by song, and although she personally always sounds amazing, this is the first time the song itself seemed too "small" for her voice. Who knows, it might happen again, but you've also provided a lot of suggestions that I think I will like 100%. It's a long journey, we'll see. Thank you so much for the compliment on the thumbnails. I noticed the same thing you did once more videos were made. I was given an idea or two on how to keep them sort of black and white and still allow some color in. We fully agree on the first part of your comment. As for the second part, to me the song sounded like most of the songs we hear on a daily basis in the Balkans. I don't know the names of the songs, because I don't often listen to that music, but I've heard very similar love songs for years now. The voices differ, but the songs keep repeating for 50+ years. Maybe it's just my taste in music and this doesn't fit. I did not say that my opinion is the only correct one - it's an impression it left on me personally. Again, we don't have to agree on everything. We still agree on Diana for sure. 😊

Ah, you see I did not pick up on that at all. My focus was so much on their singing and also I wasn't too sure about the lyrics. Perhaps they don't translate well or I totally misunderstood. Some songs in my language did not go well at all when listened to by foreigners, simply have totally different connotations and those often don't even seem important enough in a more common type of song, like a love song. For example, I knew I was missing something in the lyrics in Rechenka, but that song had a melody that "told" me that as well. Here, the only lyric that caught my attention was "I will envelop you in spring", such a lovely image. However, the rest, I understood they very much are together, they met, fell in love and now are being confused by being in love (the feeling is messy when you're young and crazy about someone). That's what I heard. Maybe that is what makes art beautiful and interesting, that different people notice/hear/feel different things...

Diana Ankudinova's voice has a ton of overtones, and she can use them purposefully; I think this is what people mean when they say she is polyphonic. I've never heard a real vocal expert describe her voice as polyphonic

I smiled along with you the moment you realised Diana was singing. I tend to agree with your overall opinion. I think singing with Diana is a very tall ask because of the colour of her voice low and high both. Brandon knows her so I think he was able to adjust accordingly and there is no ego tug of war here since they work together and he mentors her. Because Diana can drown out most others, it is hard I think to find someone willing to say it’s ok if I am overshadowed. One other successful duet where Diana cannot drown out her partner is the one she did for the mast show with the opera bass Ildar. Personally I think your next one should either be “oh it’s not evening yet” from the same show as “can’t help falling in love”. Or another deep on is “I will win you back” from the show Mask (though there are many instances where she also sings it live and it creeps into your bones making you shiver). Or the music video Baikal where her shamanic style singing is on full display.

I can see and appreciate what you are saying about the song not being "Diana standard" because it is going to take a very, very special lyricist to provide a song which will "fit" Diana's considerable vocal abilities. This has been a perhaps legitimate criticism of her work - that her material maybe doesn't quite measure up to her immense talent. I think this is a byproduct of her deciding to go on her own, and deciding to refuse "top" professionals and producers. As a huge Diana admirer and supporter I prefer to see her on her own path. Yes, she is an incredible talent, but more than that, she seems to be a very real and genuine good person. I would never want to see her exchange her good character and principals for fame and wealth. She will always have a huge (and growing) fan base all over the World who admire her for who she is and just want to see her continue to develop in her craft at her won pace. Honestly I could hear her sing a phone directory and be completely enthralled by her voice.

I appreciate your frank opinion of this piece. In defense of Brandon Stone, Diana herself has been trying to get a popular hit in Russia, and she never sings anything that she doesn't believe in. Another one like this I think is the poppy "Burnt Out," which nevertheless I like (the video not so much) because, well, Diana. And yes, I think you're right, the color of her voice throughout her range is unusually dark and beautiful. I agree with your assessment of the difference between the scope of this song and Diana's vocal potential. I listen to Diana too much and for too long. Diana always knew how to sing high notes. Only thanks to the structure of her vocal cords, singing in a contralto voice is easier, one might even say more pleasant. It is physiologically difficult for her to sing an entire concert as an alto or soprano. Even after age-related deterioration of her voice, she was always able to sing high. Although I prefer Diana's deeper voice. I love that velvety quality that many people call raucousness.

Thank you! I understand that she is still young, she is still entering the world of "entertainment". I do hope that everyone around her is truly helping her along with best intentions, not just for personal gain. She deserves support and protection in that demanding industry. Her range is less important to me, personally. I simply enjoy the color of her voice, be it in the low or high register. I'd be happy to listen to her in any that she feels comfortable and happy with.
