I think the windows look great from the outside like that....👍
@bryantd61165 сағат бұрын
Hey my friend , I just want to let you know you will have a huge issue with the paint on the windows. The paint is going to get hot and crinkle and start cracking because the paint has nothing to bond to you can get a paint specifically for glass . I was a paint specialist for a specialty paint store for many yrs and I hate to see all the hard work in putting the insulation and covering over those windows just to have all that paint wrinkle and start peeling between the glass and insulation then all of it have to be removed to repair it . I by no means am saying don't do it I'm just saying the paint will not hold up you need prep and paint specifically for glass a co named "Montana" makes a paint made for painting glass it's almost like ink as well as the prep that goes on before the paint . Check into it before you have a huge issue later I hope you see this before you get to far along. Push come to shove you can get blackout film instead of paint you can't see through it at all it's made to go on glass and completely black out the glass but don't get the vinyl cling stuff it is crap get the kind that is applied like window tint and make Shure its 100% black out . I hope this helps and saves you a bunch of issues down the road. That Rust-Oleum your using can be used on glass but not for the application your using it for it will work on bottles vases ECT but it can't take the heat your going to be getting in those windows. Take care and I can't wait to see how the bus turns out I like your ideas just don't want to see you double your work load.

Your wasting your breathe he wont read your comment or take your advice. I would have gone with the tint.

I have watched a lot of bus build videos. Do most bus builders do many things different from you? Yes, they do. Would I do some things differently? Yes, a few. Does that mean you are doing it wrong? Definitely not. I love how you are building YOUR bus. And I love how you are owning it and aren't being swayed by all the nay-sayers. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Black Chalk Board paint would have worked great on the windows and you wouldn’t have had to use 5 coats of paint. Maybe 2.5 coats. Maybe when you and Diana paint the inside of the bus try Fusion Mineral paint. It’s excellent paint and holds up really well. Plus there are a lot of great colors to choose from. Just my personal opinion, I use these paints on my furniture pieces. 😊

Actually doing a bus build during the winter in Quartzsite is probably a really good idea. A lot of KZbinrs struggle for video content in the winter because y’all are parked in the desert in the same area. I know for myself that by March I am pretty sick and tired of desert videos. So by doing a bus build over the winter in quartzite you took care of the problem of video content for the winter. 👍

I find really long drill / driver bits helpful when I'm up against a wall like you were with the windows. I sometimes use 2 shorter ones with some wiggle between them if it's super tight. There's also flexible bit extensions. They bend like a heavy cable and is kind of a pain to use but sometimes you need to be on a screw straight on. The windows look great!
