Fabulous, this is why Diana Rigg will be forever timeless. Stay out of politics focus on charity work if an actor needs to make a statement or take a position. Really lovely.

A true interview instead of the banal sound bites we get today, and a fascinating look back.

Twenty years later, she did indeed become a Dame.

She was cool, I liked her attitude and she was a great actress. Anything Diana Rigg is in is worth watching.

Wow - WHAT an amazing woman. I was always in love with her (even a half century ago) but now I love her more than ever. An incredibly smart lady who knew better than to leverage her fame politically (wish that were true of the actors nowadays) and who, despite her protestations, was one of the most beautiful women in the world. And she DID become "Dame" Diana. The world is a MUCH poorer place without her. Thanks for posting this, folks.

I like that she is so blunt about her presence. Most British actresses have strong features like Diana Rigg, Joan Collins and Julie Andrews. The interviewer predicted that she would become a Dame.

The Avengers season 5 was very remarkable to me, I feel so grateful for still keeping those full series as my treasure.

That interviewer was still fighting the Revolutionary War for the British; nevertheless, it was really enjoyable to listen to Diana Rigg, a very informative, intelligent and heart-warming lady.

She had some sound ideas and attributes. Many modern day actors could learn from her apolitical and anti militant stance.

Mary Parkinson, wife of the noted interviewer Michael, and clearly a good interviewer in her own right.

My claim to fame is at a Rugby match in Leeds which I went with my late father, I turned round and a few rows back was Diana Rigg, I was very young a the time. She loved rugby. What an absolute lovely human being

That was great: she hoped to keep on growing into her 80s and fielded a question about being a future Dame. Done!

Diana Rigg was for me the symbol of the Seventies that made us dream with all these English groups we discovered on the radio such as the Beatles, the Stones .British films and so much great actors were top of the charts such as Patrick McGohan or Michael Caine. England was in these days the Lighthouse of the world as was Alexandria.

7:41 The interviewer clearly likes what she's hearing, and who can blame her? Diana Rigg was just the best.

I'll admit, I only know of Diana Rigg because she was on the album cover of Tracy by The Cuff Links. Looks like she's a great actor and was a wonderful person.

Nous sommes en 1974 . Diana rigg n est plus la meme depuis the avengers . Le temps lui est passe dessus . Nee en 1938 elle porte ses 36 ans . Mais elle est toujours elle meme .... plein de charme . Unique .

She was so articulate and did not even speak with a Yorkshire accent. So often I have difficulties understanding actors of our present times.

She says here she was married in 1973 and is already divorced iwhen this is made in 1974. But on wiki and IMDB they say she got divorced in 1976. The timing is right because she says she is 36 years olf for this interview and in 1974 she would have been 36..

Watching this and wondering about the blank screen sections. I just realized they’re because they’re copyrighted film shots. 😡 Media companies are such hogs.

That affected accent of the interviewer! Many will call it the typical posh English accent. But I really don't like it. The interviewee's accent is much more natural, hence infinitely better.

Mary Parkinson, the interviewer, is well-spoken, but retains a recognisably Yorkshire accent. Diana Rigg, the interviewee, literally has *the* archetypal posh English accent, Received Pronunciation, no doubt a product of her middle class, boarding school background and classical training. Interestingly, both women were born in the same town, Doncaster, 2 years apart.
