this is a beautiful song no matter what or blend they make on it, I simply love ❤ is one if those song that just like Swept Away or Upside Down that never went out of style. I kept rocking on this song when I was dance club DJ and even through the 90's kept packing and jamming on the dance floor. it is very sad that American Music Industry turned it down and boycotted this song due to hate or who knows why, of course they decided to destroy her image and stardom, since at the time Diana was way ahead of all the other females stars. live on Diana F❤EVER

The American music industry didn't turn it down or boycotted the song - in fact, her label at that time (RCA) released the song twice as a single; the first time as the album version and then a remixed version (after Diana performed the song when she hosted a music awards show) for its second release. Chain Reaction peaked at #95 with its initial release and then #66 in the second version. Some feel that the preceding single, "Eaten Alive," killed Chain's chances for success and interest in the album itself. I love the song and thought for sure it would go to #1 here in the US.

hi Swept Away, first thank you for replying. I do remember that the record enter the singles chart twice, and both attempts failed, the extended dance version reached number 7 on the dance chart. I also heard just like you mentioned, releasing Eaten Alive first created some controversy and snubbed the release to Chain Reaction in the US. the song was a mega hit around the world, specially in the UK where it reached number 1 and Australia where it became the biggest of the year in 1986. it a shame she did not had the same result in her home land, but doesn' t stop her from being the mega star she is. once more thank you for your comment

probably one of my all-time favorite Diana songs. never, never, ever tire of listening to this Bee Gee perfection from our Miss Ross. the last part where she builds to the final killer grab-ya-by-your-soul mix is the best. gives me chills. thanks for the extended mix!!!!

Une petite fille au bout de chemin entraine dans son sillage sans le savoir des réactions en chaîne .depuis belle lurette se chemin est coupe par une voix express et le champêtre et bucolique d autrefois est remplacé par un paysage qui est une peau de chagrin .la dernière tempête a achevé de faire de cet endroit millénaire et forestier un nouveau mans Land d une peau de chagrin et d une tristesse inégalable .et le bruit incessant du trafique routier a definitivement fait fuir la faune sauvage autrefois magnifique .n e reste de rien de cette immensité champêtre du temps jadis et des promenade du poète tristan Corbière .seul sauvetage le bois ou parc bouse en face donc tout n est pas finit et tout n a pas disparu ,ouf !!

You must not be a real Ross fan or you were not a club goer. They played this in the clubs all over the world and in night clubs, and they played it all over in Europe, especially in the UK, Norway and France. This was known to all her fans. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but America doesn't know real music anymore. America's music scene fell off in the early 90s. The music that they have DJs play on the radio and in the clubs now is crap, it's not even funny the songs that are on the Billboard charts today. It's sad. No real talent and no real voices.
