It is reported Diana Ross purchased this home in the seventies from the son of Max Factor. Her children were born while she lived in this home. We use to take our college friends by this house when they would come to town and on one occasion we saw Rhonda and Tracee running down the street and Diana in a white tennis outfit looking concerned on the sidewalk

Actually this is the lot that Diana Ross' house was on. It was torn down a number of years ago. Her house was a stark, white modern house and was replaced with this Mediterranean house in 2006.

@@williammaddox3339 thanks for stating that fact; I wonder if the content creator was as informed, or did he go by some Map of The Stars Homes he purchased, that's what it sounds like. Because that is not Diana's old house, it's the lot for sure though. That big beautiful white mansion that sat on that lot was absolutely gorgeous. Rumor had it that the new owners got tired of the Diana Ross Looky-Loo-Fans constantly driving by and tore it down to build what we see here. If you want to see what the actual original house looked like, check out the Barbara Walters TV interview (from the 70's) where Barbara came to Diana's house to interview her. Up front, prior to the interview, Diana is shown jogging down the street in front of her house, and makes a right turn jogging up the front walkway towards the entrance. I've seen that particular interview up on youtube in the past a number times over the years.

The flats of BH don't offer enough privacy for megastars, so it's not surprising how many of them, like Miss Ross, have moved away to more exclusive digs.

Have you heard anything about the statis of Marilyn Monroe's house? I'd heard the new owner wants to tear it down, and there is a group trying to stop it. Anyhoo, was good to see your upload. You are half right. Diana's house was torn down and replaced by this one in 2006. That is what I call is having money; tear down a 7,000 square foot mansion and replace it with another.

Diana Ross got rich and was able to buy a big old Beverly Hills mansion because she got the hell away from Barry Gordy and Motown.

Barry Gordy was never able to rip off Diana like so many other artists. And she got away from him as her career was at its peak, moving to RCA. She had power over her own career. She didn't have to sue Gordy like Teena Marie did. @@joeclarke6973

Yes. They were supposed to do The Bodyguard together but got involved intimately, fell out and then they didn't make the film together. Yes, Diana Ross was given The Bodyguard way back when.

@@infamousla815 it's interesting that both Tatum and Gene Simmons were both very, very positive about Miss Ross in their respective books. She was, by all accounts, a positive influence to both of them.
