I said it right here. I am calling this right now. The WNBA will step in and fix this. They had a huge problem as soon as Christie Sides opened her pie hole about Caitlin Clark. Immediately The WNBA big wigs meet with Bluder privately. Sides was warned but did not listen Bluder Retires and Assistant is Hired Immediately. Both are flown to Indianapolis home game to meet the crowd. Sides and team conspire are its exposed at first game 17.000 people The Entire league has been warned. They are walking things back. Wheeler is out Caitlin is in ! These Veterans have been told shut up and shut up. Collect your checks. Sides days are numbered. And A House Cleaning in Indianapolis soon. Blunder New coach announced very very soon!

Dear Diana - Please go away. There is nothing you can say that will undo the self-indulgent arrogance of your "reality is coming" remark about Caitlin Clark. Having hung around for twenty years, after yourself being placed on the Olympic Team as a rookie, you have lost touch with your own reality. You are not important anymore. And you revealed your fear Caitlin Clark's accomplishments, skills and universal fan admiration might soon relegate you to being a memory. You could have been welcoming, praised Clark for accomplishments, wished her well, and had people praising you for your kind welcome. But you chose not to do that. There is nothing you now say or do that will change the picture you have painted of yourself.

She is holding her own despite all the challenges being thrown her way. What I didn't know and understand is the pressure of these star players to not only perform (which is out of her control right now) come on 8 shot attempts? Anyway almost on a tangent - but all those commercials and in person events that she has to do in addition to practice, travel, re-hab, and games... This is a lot to put on a rookie coming off a long NCAA season. Coach is trying and you can see her frustration. She gotta do better though and hoping she comes through for the team!!! Motivate these girls to get down the court ahead of Caitlin to set those screens for her and her teamates. Let's go Fever!!!

Michael Jordon got his first 30 point game in his third game. Then it took him 26 more games to get his second. It took BIrd 18 games to get his first 30 point game. Magic had just one 30-point (or better) game as a rookie and had quite a few sub 10-point games. These are three of the greatest players in basketball history. It's just rare for rookies, in basketball, to come out and dominate because, in college, they'd be lucky to play against an NBA player just a few times a year and more than half of them would be below average for the NBA. Takes time to develop those skills and timing.

For all those haters out there, those of us that have been watching her for years said, put the ball in her hands and let her ball. See what happens when you do now? (22 pts, 6 R, 8 A) I bet somebody with authority (GM, owners, etc.) got in the coach's face and told her what was up. She is now the fourth player in league history with 50 points and 15 assists in her first three games. And those TO's? Rebecca Lobo said a lot of those should on her teammates for not handling passes, not on CC.

CC fans know the coach does NOT back up and is trying to change her playing style to fit her failed system (how many games has she won the last few years) instead of fitting the system around CC (plus I heard the coach does not want to upset the old players = bad coaching) the coach also favours defence more than Offence - but if you have an offence that can score - you only need to score one more that the other team to win - instead of losing by 40+ points and FYI the only reason why Taurasi is being Mrs Nice now is because her USA place at the Olympics is getting safer by the day.

I think the league and the refs are also falling for the race baiting. I ain't no basketball expert but it seems that she is being constantly mugged by defenders which would not be tolerated in the men league. In one sequence I saw an defender put her arm across CC chest as she dribbled forward literally the arm holding her back. CC came to save the league and the league, coaches, and players reacted by destroying the league rather than see CC succeed.

At Halftime, Coach Sides' Cunning and Devious Plan seems to be working. The Fever is comfortably 20 points Behind the Liberty. The Smooth Moves that don't get close to a Bucket, Abound. Pass the ball to Caitlin? Naah, not unless absolutely necessary. The real difference is that the Fever Can't Hit A Basket, and the Liberty passes until a player is open and Drops 2 or 3 point shots....the Fever set up and pass the ball to get a player open for a decent shot? Naah, whoever has the ball just throws it up. Misses and Air Balls are the order of the day for the Fever. Coach Sides is gonna blow her Loss/Win stats of last year, right out of the water. It appears she's intent on reaching 3 times more Losses Than Wins this season, rather than Twice the number of wins. Her strategy Is Working Flawlessly. Maybe they'll give her the First, Second and Third Draft Pick next year. Caitlin has 10 at the half
