Hi, Diane, amazing! It’s so funny:just in the time you spent in Iceland, my husband prepared a big Iceland evening at his former school…with videos, pictures and music in between: last summer he surrounded Iceland by bike the second time. He took my present for his retiring, a travel guitar, with him and played on all the camping places or in the wilderness, attracted a lot of musicians and birds… we saw of course Gullfossen, but also a lot of places you can only reach by bike. I especially love puffins, so I got a lot of extra videos of them… thank you for sharing, I’m glad you didn’t take a shower there…love, Monika❣️

Land of fire and ice, and water apparently. I could feel the power through your video. Hope your time was as refreshing and fun as it looks! ❤️

Isn't it magical?!!! My husband is Icelandic (but born and raised here in the states). We have visited a few times. His family kept his grandmother's home when she passed a few years ago. It gives us a free place to stay when we visit. It is just minutes from the airport in Keflavik. On our first trip we rented a car and drove all of Ring Road and the Golden Circle. It's unlike no other place on Earth! Njóta!

Stunning! And reminds me of Skye. Waterfalls are mesmerising aren't they? Grand that you got a nice break away. I've not been to Iceland but I was in charge of my daughter's 3 kids when her husband surprised her with a trip there for her 30th Birthday. The 3 kids were all under 7,and sometimes wore pyjama tops I had mistaken for t-shirts but we had,a great time together.😂😂 ❤

I went to Iceland on a knitting tour. Certainly missed out on the natural falls but hey, their Icelandic wool and handknits are amazing. Alafos is their giant spinning mill. They have tours too. Love that one can sent time at their blue something outdoor springs pool with airport luggage in tow and the bus will take you and your luggage to the airport. Loved it. Hope you took back lots of memories and handknits.

What a great trip! It looks like it's still fairly chilly - we were there in mid-September a few years ago and I was happy that we were on our way home from a visit to Scotland, so we were kitted out for the weather! I hope that you managed to go to the waterfall that has a path behind it; that was really beautiful too.

Åh Diane, you make me "homesick"! I used to live in Reykjavík, but my icelandic hubby and I now live in Sweden (Lund). Goind back for the first time since the pandemic i july, and I cannot wait!!! 🥰 I havn't been to Gullfoss in many years though, first time I saw it there were no ropes or stairs, only a narrow path. But it is still as breathtaking as ever. ❤ 🇮🇸
