I don’t plan outfits. I just have a “uniform” of a jean and a patterned blouse and earrings. I always wear a watch, but usually no other jewelry. This has helped me.

Diane I’ve tried so many times to get through this video… You are so kind. It killed me how many time you were interrupted! You are so gracious. You stopped talking every time you were interrupted. I’m always so impressed with you. Now I add gracious to the long list of qualities you have and I aspire too. Thank you for this lesson. I’ll try again to finish the video. Rah rah rah. I would like to present a slightly different take as an option to being offended and labeling people as rude for interrupting. If you've ever watched type 3s, it's almost impossible for them not to interrupt. I am 61 years old and I still have not been able to conquer that. People get offended and they hate me for it sometimes, but it's just extremely difficult and oppressive not to jump in. If you watch a couple of type 3s together - you'll see this sometimes on Carol's group interviews - two type 3s will just start running thru the conversation; they will interrupt each other, add to what the other person is saying, finish the other's sentences, and change the subject. If you really look, you will see that what they are actually doing is playing. I can't tell you what a relief it is for me to be able to talk to another type 3 and know they're not going to get offended and angry with me for adding to the conversation in a way that is natural to me. It is absolute play, and it just feels like freedom to me. I don't get offended that the other type 3 is interjecting or changing the subject or interrupting. Both of us are having the time of our life and reveling in the sense of freedom we have that we can finally communicate in a way that works for us. Perhaps others who insist on playing traffic cop with the conversation, so to speak, can also show a little more sensitivity that honors our way of communicating once in a while.

Dressing your Truth has changed my life. It sounds dramatic but it’s true! And in such a short period of time!!! No more wasting money trying to figure out what looks good on me or fretting about what doesn’t. No more focusing on my weight when I’m an active healthy person. Just loving how I look everyday and spending just a couple minutes pulling together an outfit. And accessorizing is so much fun now. Thanks for being a cheerleader for DYT! After years and years of watching you I finally looked into it 🌺💕

I have to also say, I love how Carol is such an intense and active listener!! It’s so funny what she said about you have to see the items to use them. It’s so true for me. This winter, I had put my sweaters away into my dresser and forgot they existed for WEEKS!!! I had to bring them back out 😂

I need to upgrade my wardrobe; however, I have found it difficult to purchase any new clothing since I retired in 2010. Most of my around-the-house clothing are worn out, faded, tattered, and some with tiny holes. Oh my, I'm behind times and I must do something about it. Most of my better clothing still fits me so I can wear those things whenever I dress up to go out. Since I retired, money has been too tight to buy anything new. I better get with it and plan to write a wish list of a few items I need to upgrade my wardrobe. (I will pray over it!) First of all, I will pull out anything that does not fit me, and all my worn-out clothing to toss into the recycle bin. Or, I could save my old, tattered clothing for scrubbing the bathrooms or perhaps, gardening. I sew so I will try to make a few things; although, it takes me some time to finish anything.

@grandma freeman i have a hard time wearing business/formal/dressier clothing whilst i am JUST at home. i respect Diane for looking polished while vacuuming; but every time i try it i only wear it for an hour or two before i change into ratty clothes with stains and holes. if you (or anyone) know how we can solve this dilemma of ours please help! 🤣🤣🤣

I also dress up to go out, but a bit more ratty at home. 😅 I couldn't clean or scrub looking as fantastic as Diane. I also admire how she looks, but couldn't be that smart at home. However, I have been slowly throwing out the really ratty ones. Be comfortable at home. ❤

And secondary 4/3 in the process of discovery. My daughter is convinced it’s a 3 with my heavy steps and clunking the dishes in the kitchen in the morning and my desire for people to get to the point when they’re talking. I love your brand of minimalism. I feel pressure from some other influencers to pare down more than what makes me feel happy and comfortable. I'll find myself scolding myself on things like, "you already have a green sweater, you don't need two. Just pick your favorite." Even though I like and wear both. The fact that you don't limit yourself to one blue striped shirt or one white blazer has helped me be more kind to myself and realize that our approach to our wardrobe isn't a one-size-fits-all.

I like choosing clothes first by the colour, patterns and the feel of the fabric. Secondly I look at the shape of the garment. Some years the shops seem to be filled with the ‘right’ options, and other years there is almost nothing. I definitely don’t follow fashion trends!

I think it's thanks to DYT: After Easter mass in my parent's town, a colleague of my mother's came over to wish me good luck with my finał exams. I asked back what he meant. He had confused me with my sister, who just turned 16 in January and will be finishing school this summer. I am more than 17 years older - it's been The Experience of the year for me and proof of what Carol keeps repeating: Dress your truth, not your age! 🎉 Thank you so much for this - again - truely inspiring video, Diane ❤

Watched this video in 2 parts. I also hang my pants (trousers) from the bottom. That way the heavier top side pulls the wrinkles out quite nicely. I do get dressed to shoes every morning but i am not one to ‘dress up’. I love sweats in the winter and loose slouchy clothes the rest of the year. I am also not a jewelry person. I have so nice items but rarely think about wearing them. Also I don’t get my outfits ready the night before unless it’s for a very special occasion. I tried that many years ago but always changed my mind in the morning as what I liked the night or day before just didn’t resonate with me the next morning. Thanks for sharing the video with Carol. You both are so enthusiastic and inspiring. LLAP🖖

Thanks Diane and Carol for a great video. It only takes me 10 minutes (usually on Sunday afternoon or evening) to put aside 5 tops for the week, first having checked my diary and the weather forecast so I know what will be appropriate. I know what pants and accessories go with each, so I might not get them out until the night before. It's now so easy and quick for me to get ready and no stress in the morning. Keeping up with the laundry is key 😊
