Diane, you’ve created a monster! I enjoyed Monday’s decluttering session so much that I repeated it on Tuesday. Did a 10-minute kitchen clean yesterday (and posted), then repeated it today and went further while the coffee was brewing. I cleaned one countertop and the stovetop and emptied and rinsed out jars of items past their prime for recycling. It’s freed up space and made me take note of a couple of special tasks I have to add to my list. Thanks so much for the push! Oh, and yesterday I was able to take the items I’ve decluttered over the last couple of weeks to a distribution event for refugees. It was so gratifying to see my “extras” go directly to those who could really use them. YAY!

I didn't feel like cleaning, but I worked with you in the kitchen today, doing mainly the things you worked on, and I'm so glad I did. It feels much better after just a few minutes cleaning. My husband came in and saw me working and cleaned the top of the refrigerator for me. So yay! Yesterday I cleaned the window sills and the microwave so I've made some good progress in the kitchen this week.

I cleaned the top of my stove and the fronts of my cabinets and drawers. I noticed one of the cabinet doors was a little loose, and rather than ignore it, I just grabbed a screwdriver and tightened it. Diane- you really are a good influence on me! Have a lovely evening!

I joined you in wiping surfaces in the kitchen. I thought they looked fine, but when I got into it a found lots of crumbs and sticky spots. I'm also cleaning the toaster oven, which I don't like doing. Thanks for getting me up and moving. You make icky tasks more pleasant.

A couple of the things I really like about the flylady system is the working clockwise around the room and not leaving the room to put things away. Following those two tips really helps me!

I can get so much done in 10 minutes! I'm a retired elementary school teacher, and I used to play "Beat the Clock" for five minutes twice a day where we all would tidy up our desks and classroom. My students loved it!

Diane thank you for the video today! I recently read about lead in glazes and cleaned out my mugs and streamlined with lead-free (tested by LeadSafeMama-Tamara) glass mugs that hold the heat better as well! Perhaps this could help someone else!

I worked 4 hours at job,then spent an hour in the grocery store and put the groceries away, worked in the church pantry sorting and sizing donated linens and clothing to give away during our food pantry this weekend, Cooked a big dinner and washed the dishes, did 2 loads of laundry and put them away. So as you wiped your kitchen down I am relaxing and just watching you work. I will tidy my kitchen more thoroughly tomorrow after an even busier day because you have inspired me!

I had an appendectomy a few weeks ago and afterward only felt like laying on the couch for about 10 days. I did declutter 70 or more books during that recovery time. But somehow, I didn't get back to my cleaning routines once I started feeling better. Today I looked at my house and said, "It's time." I first followed along with a Weekly Declutter, then I followed along with this video, and my kitchen looks much better. Now I'll sweep my floors and then I'll take a break. It feels good to be back on track. Thank you for your motivation. I find it much more fun to clean along with you than to do it on my own.

🤦🏼‍♀️Bit late commenting! It was a bit of an “off” week/lots going on last week, and I didn’t schedule or intentionally work in the kitchen, BUT… while doing other things - cooking, putting shopping away etc - I found that I was mindful that it was Zone 2 week, and I ended up decluttering a shelf of the pantry, tidying up my utensils drawer and decluttering + re-organising a mini tea-bag chest, as well as cleaning those areas too! And I was pleased that I’d have something to comment on the video about as well! 😂Knowing the zone we’re in and being accountable to comment is really helping- thank you, Diane! ✨

Hello Diane, Just got back last night from being in Maine for 6 weeks and I feel a little sunken under the snow of housework & work. A little snow overnight here in SW Washington state. Thankful to be in the warm house. Cleaned counters, wiped microwave, and decluttered so many plastic containers and lids, and put a casserole dish in "quarantine". Made a big pot of lentil soup for dinner to have with corn muffins. I want at least 2 meals per week to be out of our pantry (beans, lentils, rice, pasta, canned veg). 😊 Thank you, Diane! See you Friday!❤
