I forgot to mention - in most cases your optimal DP punish is actually run up command grab. Make sure you practice it! Aside from the solid guide itself, props to the smooth editing, graphics, and transitions; It gives the video so much more flavor! Instead of watching videos here and there, I'll definitely be frequenting more often since your content is genuinely pleasing in personality and overall good vibes. For the mid-screen combo, you have to press forward when doing j.ms to get Madd close enough for the 2ms. It matters whether you press back, neutral, or forward when doing j.ms.

Hey just in case anyone is curious the first corner combo shown in this you can actually hold back during the 2nd 2M to move the puppet backwards and then you don't actually have to delay the 2S that follows (I assume Diaphone probably knew this but left it out just to keep the combos simple for people who don't want a lot of puppet movement in the combos). Great guide either way!

Important note regarding the 10:35 combo. You can actually control how where Madd will spawn when you summon him in the air by holding forward or backwards. So when you summon the doll to you after the second j.B make sure you hold direction forward so that Madd teleports farther from you and closer to the opponent so that he actually reaches and hits them with 2MS. So the notation should actually be in that part of the combo j.B j.MS J.B j.6MS.

I've been really struggling with Enchantress since the game came out. I was really eager to play her but I couldn't work out anything about her. Following this guide i've actually been able to work out the character and now I can play her, and whenever I boot the game up now I usually default to hitting the lab with Enchantress to see what else I can do. You've really unlocked the character for me, thanks very much!

The combo for the anti-air at 4:10 that you demonstrated I can't get the puppet to land the final part everything else connected just fine though so I'm guessing its a timing issue or maybe the position of the bear not being far up enough? (nvm the tip you gave about repositioning mad in the air behind or front fixed it)

17:54 - Ah, so that's why ppl punish me lol I always thought I was just doing it wrong, I didn't know there was a gap there. Thanks for this amazing guide! I really learned a lot of neat stuff! Also, that tip with the command grab, reminds me I should use it more often. I sometimes go for just a normal grab instead, which works, but a command grab might secure a kill.

You should post vods of your enchantress matches to get some of the neutral concepts flowing in practice. I feel like this guide is super great as a baseline but I keep getting lost with bear in neutral or executing corner pressure. An example match could help I think

If opponent tries to jump over the bear and he's away from you, You can D4 (anti air swipe) multiple times and juggle them.

You either have to move the bear up while you’re hitting the opponent (by hitting forward while in showtime) or you have to dash when you jump so the bear teleports right in front of the opponent (idk if you have to jump for the combo I didn’t watch the whole vid yet. Im just giving you tips that I learned in training mode)

May I ask how you edited that number key pad - Control Overlay onto your video, in the beginning of this Enchantress video? Where did you get it and how did you do that to sync tho the controlled movements of the your character?

It's just a frame by frame edit, I downloaded a numpad png, inverted the colors (it was white), and made a key shaped green layer. Then I went frame by frame and placed the green keys, same with the glow effect of the buttons, I just looked at the startup of the animations.

Hey Diaphone do you have any tips for these combos if you already have Madd active? Some of the routes require Madd to not already be active at the beginning. Also I gotta say the quality of this video is something else, thank you for putting the time in.

It is not super important but there there are 4 levels of charge for her 6S/jS. Uncharged, before her voiceline finishes, just as it finishes, and full charge. They do 78, 94, 110, and 126 damage if both hits connect, this might be useful for optimizing her combos with jS a little more.

I’m struggling to get any of her long strings down, is there some kind of tech that I’m missing that allows her to do certain moves multiple times in a row? I.e. when trying to do her corner BnB I drop the combo after the 2S because she doesn’t land the second hit. Also just to add onto this, I cannot grab after 5B or 5B - 2B, even when the opponent is in the corner it doesn’t grab, what tech should I learn to fix this?

Make sure you are mindful of your starter? Not sure, may be miss timing as well. Also I've been 5a 2b 1 hit command grab, way easier

@@Diaphone Ah I think I figured out what it was, I just wasn’t used to buffering the 5MS after every big hit to extend the combo, on the mid screen BnB I wasn’t buffering 5MS after the hit in the air which meant I couldn’t swing the second attack at all, same for the 2S in the corner BnB. For the grab it’s working on a 5A, which I’m guessing was my mistake because I was doing 5B previously. Probably some kind of spacing issue? Been labbing and practicing a bit and starting to get the hang of the muscle memory. Thank you for the guide, it’s helped a ton in learning how to get her neutral down a bit better, even if I’m still dropping combos left and right.

I didn't understand a thing, maybe she is too much for a new player to the genre, although to be honest i was trying to learn her in an attempt to test the theory of "if you are new, just play whatever you want". @@kogascool idk man that command grab TOD kinda reminds me of the Karl clap loop from old BB. Not as good, but still one Kara grab into death on lower health character's is kinda good. She isn't SM or HM, but shes pretty close to em.

The probably I find with the command grab is it high mp cost, low damage, and the fact that combo change when hitting the doll. I think it could be better. How do you beat crusade wall? Or swift master wind sword?

Yea I don't think it's a secret that enchant may be alittle weak compared to swift. You can check the wind orbs with 2a or 5s tho. Wall you dont have anything outside of universal options (dash block or try to preempt the start up)
