Well said. I play nearly every fighter that comes out and I love the combo system this game has. They are kinda long but not insane damage, so it give's your opponent some chances to drop it. Also the way the game locks you out of op moves so you can't just spam them is ingenious to keep combos fair and stifle neutral every once in a while. I love marvel but you could literally be combo'd the entire game, and it's better than strive where 9 hits could easily take 60-70% life into oki + meter.

Juggle limit is 11pts. Different buttons do different amounts of points. Raging strike does 1, chain does 0. Triple combos do 3 per except the starter. Most of the rest do 2. Lights and most crouch moves do 3 as well. If you learn your special numbers you can optimize the juggles

2:35 So the full way the Combo Limit system works is once an opponent gets in the air they have 11 points of juggle. Light normals, 2H, and Auto Combos will increment it by 3, all other normals by 2, specials by either 2 or 3, Raging Strike will increment 1, and all supers will reset this counter. After the counter reaches 11, the next hit will trigger combo limit. The reason that Cag only uses 1 hit of 5H at 2:56 is because of this. 2(5H) + 2(214H) + 3(2H) + 2(22x) + 2(5H). If another hit if 5H played then the combo limit would’ve triggered and the combo would drop.

Doing a combo on a character nobody plays that CRASHES THE GAME is the single most BM thing I've ever seen. Imagine you are about to win a set, and instead of taking your rank up, you conciously decide to make your opponent open the game again. To be honest, I would not open the game again.

i wouldnt let yourself be blinded by them tho in granblue your not landing any of these as your health is never staying high enough for you to have the meter and for your opponent to survive past maybe hit 8 these are more of a showcase of what you can do not what is optimal in 99% of pressure situations, granblue is definitely one of the few FGs where long combos are gonna come out most games

One of the main gripes I have with GBVSR is that it really doesn't do a good job of teaching you the mechanics of the game if you've never played before, or at least it doesn't FORCE you to learn the game mechanics. I had no clue that you took 50% more damage with no BP that would explain why the opponents I have struggled with the most are using whatever the M+H is called, I always figured it seemed kinda useless to use because it is incredibly easy to BP counter it, it felt like a really weak drive impact from SF6 because I can hit M+H in time like 90% of the time to counter it but that ends up putting me down a BP so I guess there is the trade. Really enjoying the game overall though. That being said my other big gripe is kind of a consequence of the free-to-play aspect where I'm very sick of going against Gran because I see him so much because he's the free to play character

You have to understand what frame data is and then how to apply it. Learning hit boxes and hurt boxes help also as they all go hand in hand when completing combos

It's more like a juggle limit, for all intents and purposes. There *is* a limit if the opponent stays grounded, but it's super duper lenient, and some characters like Avatar Belial and Lancelot are really good at taking advantage of that. Also, as was mentioned in the video, hitting super resets the combo limit, so if you find a way to keep it going afterwards, things can get a bit silly.
