Here I am at 61 years old and AGAIN I am listening to more gaslighting already. It’s been my life of constant doctors and no one that really knows. HOW LONG ARE WE GOING TO PUT UP WITH THIS?? I’m exhausted.

I have stage 4 endometriosis, also on the diaphragm. They removed it in a long surgery but it's back. My pain starts a few days before my period with the worst shoulder/arm pain ever. I even cried at nights because I can't sleep from pain and no pain killers help. Then I get sharp pain in my rips, like someone stepped a knife in and left it there. I can't do hormone therapy because I had a stomache vene thrombosis.

So for those of us in the non endo category with shoulder tip pain any other ideas of what this can be? Extreme right shoulder pain every time my periods starts ouch!

Hey I’d really appreciate a response. I had surgery back in April and was told I had stage 2 endometriosis- one of the places it was found was on the right diaphragm above the liver. Ablation was performed because of the risk and I’ve had no relief since surgery. Experiencing pains above my ribs, stabbing pains in heart area, shortness of breath. Could you explain if endo found on diaphragm is technically thoracic endometriosis?

not necessarily. Depends on the depth and location

Hello, I noticed that I have a sharp pain in my upper back or at the lower shoulder. This is 2nd time I noticed that my pain has surfaced during the period. When I breath I feel sharp pain in the left side. Can this be endometriosis pain?

I'm 21 I had 2.6 l blood drained out my chest and the doctors are undergoing tests they unable to find the cause so far its been 2 months and it's worrying because Im still struggling to breathe my symptoms gradually went away after my operation and now after my menstrual cycle it has started again

I am sure your doctors have considered the possibility of this being due to thoracic endometriosis. If the bleeding happens cyclically during your periods, it is called "catamenial Haemothorax" and could be due to endometriosis of the diaphragm, long or pleura.

Hello thanks but endometriosis can increase acid in stomach?
@itsagoodday21653 жыл бұрын
Usually the opposite. You have low stomach acid and hence digestion issues.

If you find endometrial nodules in diaphragm during routine laparoscopy for adhesiolysis of ovaries , do you intervene in the same setting to coagulate those nodules ?
@psychiatrist1233 жыл бұрын
@O K the nodules were left behind as there were multiple and treating with hormonal pill. Yasmin

It is also hard to find the most common areas of diaphragmatic endometriosis with a standard laparoscopy, as it is at the far right margin of liver diaphragm. Often a second scope will be necessary higher on the abdomen to access.

Hi. Post op patient who had surgery for her endometriosis, experienced shoulder pain while she was in the ward. Is this expected post op?
@ShelbyAllira2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Coming from someone who had this surgery and is a nurse, yes! Post op I had shoulder tip pain for about 2-3 days. It was a result of the gas they used to inflate my stomach triggering the shoulder tip pain!
