I've known dogs who unthreaded the bars of crates and escaped. People don't seem to remember dogs= baby wolves and they will do insane shizz like gnaw off their own feet to escape. Getting through a wall is kinda small potatoes for a lot of breeds. My friends had escape artist huskies (they often are) who had busted out of the yard so many ways they were only allowed out with adult supervision...

Yeah, I can see a lot of issues that would have required some extended time spent training these dogs. The aggression towards other dogs is something I have run into, and usually is the result of a lack of socialization of the dog to other dogs when they're young. The breaking out of your closet sounds like it was caused by separation anxiety. If you don't know what the history of your dog is it can be really hard to fix some of these problems, because they likely were developed in response to something happening from their previous owners when they were puppies.

Yeah, I had a dog whose previous owner locked her in a bathroom for like three years since she was young. No going out, no socializing. That dog got along great with humans, especially young kids, but let me tell you she HATED other dogs. Half of owning that dog was just trying to bail her out of a fight with some random pitbull.

dude, they could have had separation anxiety or are traumatized by cages. All a dog wants is to be loved on and appreciated by their owner. My dog conner is a big dog, but he had really bad separation anxiety, and we left him in several crates that he tore through, and he bit a hole through one of our walls, just like your dog. We finally just let him be and stopped locking him up, and once he knew we loved him and weren't getting rid of him, he calmed down.

As a dog trainer, this stresses me out so much. Swoozie really needs to check in with the local dog trainer next time he gets a dog. And I'm not talking a PetSmart trainer. Those are basically useless for behavioral issues. Get you a trainer that specializes in behavior modification- full on dog behaviorist. You can do it. I believe in you.

As a dog handler, same. I generally like sWooZie's content but this one made me kinda uncomfortable. In my view, when you get a dog, you're taking that responsibility and it's not to be dropped just because the dog is a handful. There's some really wonderful people out there that can help with special needs dogs. All dogs deserve loving homes and if anyone feels like they can't properly give a dog what they need, try to give them to a home that can, not some random person coming out of a store. I know this is just supposed to be a funny cartoon/storytime but situations like these are why thousands of dogs are put down. People just don't want to deal with the problems, they give them up, the cycle repeats until they either are required to be put down or they stay too long in a shelter. Either way it typically ends in a garbage bag.

0:36 Same, family had a Begal, and whenever he realized he had a chance to be loose, he'd take it, run circles in the front yard then take off in a direction at full speed. He wasn't trained, and wasn't taken out enough to exert that energy. (SUCH a bad fit for this lazy as ferk family...) He was originally my uncles dog too, but when he moved out he just left the dog with us, cause the begal was too much work for him as well I guess? Or my grandfather just wanted to keep him, I don't know. Alot of times, this dogo would steal shoes/socks...if it's on the floor no matter the room..must have been his..and it was SUCH a pain to get the stuff back from him cause he'd always go into attack mode when we'd try to get the stuff back. Other then the pain...he was a sweet and loving dog, that loved sitting in my grandfathers lap any chance he got. But yeah, if you don't put in the time/effort to train a animal that needs it, could feel like they hate you with their actions lol. Our first dog (when I was little, she was already a old dog) was a full on sweetie, got lucky with her temperament and wasn't a high energy dog, just a walking fluff ball full of love and never barked. She was just a really chill puppers, so it was either her personally or breed that she didn't need to be trained. If I remember correctly she was a American Eskimo.
