This question at the end hits home for me cuz just recently someone in my school spread rumors about me. Let me tell u a short version of the story this guy (I'm not naming names) pushes me into a wall for literally no reason so he gets suspended for it. His girlfriend (someone I think is just a petty snob) says I was saying bad stuff about him (that's not my policy if I have something to say I say it to there face cuz keeping it to urself doesn't get the point across). Now here comes my favorite part, I laughed at all of it I was thrilled about it all cuz most people in my school know the type of person I am. I find it hilarious that people think that they get under my skin. So I'd say whatever Mr. Steal your girl said about you, you find out what it was and laugh at how far fetched it is and slowly over time point out how crazy it actually sounds. To answer your question, I’m actually kinda goin through that! I had 2 friends who are sisters and we all cut each other off last year. I won’t explain it because it’s stupid and petty and LONG and aaghh but I know they spread lies about me on twitter, they reply to posts regarding “ex friends” or “bad experiences with artists” (????) and they always shit talk and reference past occasions in a way that didn’t even happen- Like bruh they make me out to be some sort of monster and it honestly does hurt They don’t say my name or anything, but the only thing I worry about is the fact that we have/had mutuals who knew that we were irl buds and stuff so I kinda feel worried about them connecting the dots and then resenting me because of their extremely exaggerated stories and flat out lies about me. I haven’t done anything, I know that if I do, it would just make things worse. A couple of my friends want me to, but I really just don’t want anything to do with them anymore. They’re high school level drama and I’m just done with it. (We’re in our early 20s too.) The one thing that makes me sad is that one of the sisters was genuinely my best friend and didn’t tolerate her toxic sisters shitty behavior and how she treated everyone, I put up with all of that for years and the moment I snap back, that’s where all hell broke loose, she told her dad on me?? (WE ARE IN OUR EARLY 20s and I live on my own while they live rent free with their parents) And it was just SO DUMB. Her sister was originally supportive but then out of nowhere blocked me a week later, then my friends show me the crap they say about me and how I should do something about it and I’m just. Nah. Let them. (Not saying I never messed up, but that whole friendship was a seriously messy and bumpy ride and I am so much better off without it.)
