Regarding the desk situation - I would bring it up deffo and maybe phrase it as you want to get the most benefit out of working in the office and feel like you would benefit more from sitting with your team. Expand on that maybe! Also tip for empty stomach morning pill taking (if you carry on in some capacity) - I hate eating breakfast but will just have a digestive or two, plain but does the job!

Mint velvet is a really nice brand! It’s funny I have adhd and always button coats and cardigans wrong sometimes I don’t notice till later in day ha ha. Same as you also I work part time and hybrid between remote working and office. I’d just say that if it’s important enough for you to be thinking about regularly and coming back to it then it’s important enough to ask . Also if you don’t ask you don’t get! It’s so unfair that we have to compromise constantly. Remember, your company needs you , you’re the most experienced member of staff. Xx

We have to book our desks up to 3 weeks in advance. It helps coz you know where you will be seating. With your back issues work should be giving you a special chair and desk set up suitable for your needs, both in office and at home. 🖥️

We did that in Covid but now everyone else in the team has assigned seating, it feels like exclusion. I mean.. that’s before we get in to the number of important meetings scheduled on my days off and information I never get. We were at risk of redundancy one year and everyone was taken aside and told.. I found out 4 days later. Someone should have called me 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 100% re my back though. I had a workplace assessment pre covid but we have different management now

Definitely don’t use that eye spray stuff! I have chronically dry eyes and use Hycosan. Drops are better than sprays - more targeted which is what you need. Nothing should burn your eyes like that my lovely x

Not visited Carkson's pub yet, though it's only 15 mins from our house ..the previous pub was in a bit of a state, so it's good that he's salvaged it! Definitely mention the desk situation, if full time members are allocated a desk for their 2 days then the same should apply for you (if that is what you want) it might be that a rota system is set up so that others take turns in working away from the team, it can be difficult to feel you have a voice as a part timer but at the end of the day you should still be a valued member of the team and be treated the same x

Tinned new potatoes chuckes in the fryer with spray oil salt pepper and paprika delicious and don't take long at all a bit like years ago when you used to do them little chopped up potatoes on a baking tray so you still make that thing you did years ago to use things up whaat was it green beans bacon and something else.... your obsession with green beans was funny x

lol my current and actually from last summer I have ben addicted to Kefir drinks the Bioyutiful ones cherry or mango and actually my stomach has been definitely less bloated I have them as a treat when I go to work. I work flexible so not every week.

I have used some of the eye sprays and I'm sure it said to keep eyes closed maybe try and see if it works. Also with your vitamins, if you are taking multiple different ones maybe try eliminating them one by one see if its one particular one that causing the nausea. Some zinc ones have caused it to me in past.

Hey love just regarding the desk situation, you might want to frame it as a request for a reasonable adjustment (based on the equality act) workplaces have a duty to consider requests based on neurodiversity including adhd, we all need predictability in our routines and environments , so i completely agree with needing a space/desk you know you are going to, it’s all about feeling like we belong too💖

Have you checked the supplements you are taking all work ok together? And none of the ingredients are repeated across each supplement. Iask because i actual managed to overdose on vitamins and my symptoms were nausea, dizziness headache stomach cramps and blurry eyesight. O dodnt even realise overdoses on vitamins was a thing until i called 101 but apparently its very common in Jan due to all our new year resolutions !

Interesting! I haven’t taken mine for a week and felt ok but today I was so headachey and sick again. That said I did have a car accident yesterday so 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

I was in the exact same situation at my office job and I brought it up and it was fine. The main point I brought up was that I was happy to come in but wanted to feel part of the team when I did. And sitting so far away made me feel more isolated than if I was just at home. If others in your team have work at home days, can your manager coordinate your office day with somones work from home day so you share that desk? It's definitely not unreasonable to ask to actually sit with your team when you go in x

I remember going through a phase of Vomiting. My doctor said it was probably to do with My periods. As soon as my periods stopped so did the Vomiting.

Regarding the ply, yes do complain as the company wants to provide the best service. Think of it as if you had someone with a candle issue you would want the chance to fix it. Also you will have to DIY some ventilation along the back of the ply for the heat to rise out of otherwise the ply will shrink and warp! Hope this helps Hx

I did consider this but I’m thinking about just switching the radiator off. It’s not doing much on the landing really cause we open the windows for the washing we dry there a lot anyway

I'm still struggling with dry eyes. I think mine is caused by perimenopause and wearing contact lenses. I've found some eye drops make my eyes sting. I thought it might be something to do with the preservatives in them so I've bought some single dose vials that are preservative free. They do seem more comfortable x

This time last year I thought the same thing but it’s definitely exacerbated by cold weather.. can that be true if it’s been triggered by hormones?

I've also noticed mine are much worse in the office because the air is so dry there, even though I wear my glasses and not my contact lenses. I really hope mine do improve in the summer because I'm fed up with them now! Hope you find something that helps you without stinging! x

Oh I have felt like that for the last couple of days and then I was finally sick and the day after(yesterday)I still felt like crap! I’m hoping today will be better! I would have to say something otherwise it would build up in me till it comes out at a complete unrelated point. I work in retail and when it comes to complaining, some people complain about the most silly stuff to people who have no say over stuff.

Re desk situation - advise them you have chronic pain and feel you need a permanent set up to help manage the condition. I.e your chair and desk etc being kept at positions comfortable for your pain rather than being moved about. Oh also mention you’d prefer that desk to be with the team for team building purposes

Have you tried IKEA for a wall units you could get the Billy book shelf with cupboards at the bottom etc & join them together ?

Are you still trying to take less pain medication for your back? I got really similar symptoms of feeling sick/tired/headache when coming off regular cocodamol. It lasted for a couple of weeks, now I just take paracetamol & naproxen and the lethargy is totally gone. Just a thought if you’re taking less codeine than usual!

Naproxen was really hard on my stomach cause I also have IBS (fun! 😂)

@ I think cocodamol works great - I just remembered you saying that you wanted to take less pain medicine so I wondered if you’d implemented that and perhaps the nausea/headache might have been minor withdrawal symptoms if you were previously taking it regularly! Same with naproxen being hard on the tummy, although I take it with lanzaprazole now and it’s a winning combo for me. Hope you’re feeling better though! Xx

I have them all over the house, most are drops (the optrex moisturising ones are 👌🏻) but I pick up whatever they have when I’m at the shop at occasionally they sting. I’ve had sprays that don’t and droppers that do 🤷🏻‍♀️ The idea of having to make a doctors appt for eye drops is so beyond to me, my eyes would be to be falling out 😂

The rice thing is misconstrued information about bacteria that can grow at room temperature. So long as it’s been in the fridge, you’re set.. and with chicken you’re fine as long as it’s been heated properly. Lee ate the same meals all week so it wasn’t that but day one, I certainly wasn’t ruling it out 😂

Might seem like an obvious suggestion but if things are making you feel sick or burning your eyes then might be better not to use them ;-)! I'm never 100% sure whether all these supplements and medications are actually any good for us (obvs unless prescribed!).

Ha! If I knew specifically what was making me sick that would be great!! I took those supplements for weeks before then so I’m still not sure Also, I’d say 25% of the drops I try burn my eyes so I wasn’t sure if it was intentional at once I was on my 4th or 5th bottle that did 😂😂
