Nice technique. I am a retired dentist and I like your technique. We started using composite resins my 3rd year of school. Adaptic 2 part. Mix, wait, hope. One shade . No light. A few years later a version that was light cured came out. We were part of a test group in the US Public Health with long term trials in the Coast Guard. It took 2 minutes for the light to warm up and a fresh solution of the resin was only good for one day. Beautiful result on your patient.

25 years ago, my dentist said, to close the gap in my front teeth, that I would need two veneers. She filed my front natural teeth down to 2 stumps and I have had so many problems since, such as, the veneers break (I'm on my 3rd set and at £600 for each veneer, it's a life time cost), they trap germs which causes the need for fillings in the natural tooth under the veneer. Back then I believed she had my best interests at heart, I figured she knew what she was doing, when in actual fact she damaged my teeth to the point the damage could not be reversed. To be completely honest, each dentist I've been too in my 52 years have done more damage to my teeth than good. They're great at trying to sell treatment at extortionate prices tho. Here in the UK I found out after researching, that UK dentist prices are not regulated, there is no governing body that sets the Barr regarding realistic prices and so, individuals continue to go without treatment. There's no point in dentists preaching how we should take care of our teeth and oral hygiene, if the ppl they're preaching too can't afford treatment.

I’m so sorry. I feel your pain. I got braces for free through a school program and they took my bicuspids, filed down my last good front tooth and all 4 of my last sharp teeth. The last filling I got too just popped out- I see someone about it and they go Dora the Explorer with the drill putting a hole in the surface of my bottom tooth and a hole into my crown that I’ve had up top and in front since I was 18. The hole in my bottom tooth is starting to form a cavity and I’m fairly certain I’ll start to have problems with my crown soon too- it looks like she compromised the seal. I’ve had literal panic attacks since- I’m 3 months deep into finally taking care of the tooth with the biggest hole and I needed a root canal. This dentist left my tooth jagged, filled with composite, and now she wants to do a full mouth X-ray before finishing with my temporary crown. They’re all just trying to make an extra buck. The last visit- I was certain she was trying to break my tooth.
@alwaysyouramanda
@alwaysyouramanda 2 жыл бұрын
They said they took my teeth due to crowding, but my teeth just ended up shifting forward and the braces crushed one of my teeth- it’s dying now but I believe that has more to do with the “cleaning” I got with that drill from the dentist they wouldn’t name. “D Aida” was all I got from Channel Islands Family Dental here in Oxnard. It was a man’s name on the cards… that was my final red flag. So so many though- she was not a dentist- I’m pretty sure she was just dating one.

I'd also like an affordable way to close the gap which isn't risky like this and smile direct club (this has been shown the risk of rotting the actual tooth left after filing down and covering, as well as staining a healthy tooth. Smile direct has a 4 month plan which according to many dentists and doctors has an "80%, risk factor", which may be a slight misquote. But truthfully, I've read many horror stories wherein the effected person had parts of their jaw and teeth crack and/or break due to smile direct working too fast for the bones to fuse and set.)

This case si to remove the frenulum, and then close días tema with irthodontics. Otherwise, a black triangle remains between both teeth, where food remains Will continually accumulate and generate a periodontal pocket. The black trangle and the low contact point look Bad aesthetically. Closing the días tema with resina is not the solutipn, except for a better opinion.

@Sam Lee Couple thousand for composite bondings? If your dentist charges that amount for essentially a filling then you should switch dentists and go for veneers instead lol. Besides the cost, veneers will last much longer. I doubt what was done in this vid will last more than a couple years at best on a real person...and thats with avoiding biting into anything with them. That ish is gonna break off
