I think this is the best playthrough of this I've seen, explained really well and was fun to watch. Cheers.

Nice to see these. I kept looking for your segment on Board Game Breakfast. Glad to catch up with the reviews here on your channel. Just bought Dice Forge last week, cracking the shrinkwrap tonight!

Ooh! Let me know what you think! Will be back on Board Game Breakfast soon. Took a few months off for motherhood =).

Motherhood is a most excellent reason to take months off. Totally understand. :)

Never did get it to the table with others yet, but I love the ingenious packaging. Seriously, it's like a game all its own. Can't wait to play it and then put it all back in its neat little place again. Like a clockwork machination , this packaging... in a good way!

Yeah, after initial set up it's AWESOME.

Dude, wish I had an awesome girl-squad like you all to play board games with. This is like a super chill and supportive, no saltiness or drama. :/ Love this dynamic.

My goodness, you're the absolute sweetest for offering! I'm in Orlando, FL though, sadly. But if you guys ever do some kind of country-wide, board-game tour, hit me up because I gotchu. ;)

I want to thank you for your content. You get better with each upload. I can see the camerawork get better, sound, lighting... On this one, I especially appreciated that you call things what they are; sun shards, moon shards, and the like. THAT attention to detail, and respect for the designer and publisher, is outstanding.

That means a lot. Thanks so much for commenting.

This game has more instances of "Wait, it's my turn already!?" than any other game I've played.

That might be the best information about this game to interest me to add it to the collection. I love the feeling of surprise turns, you don't have to adjust your strategy for that round any longer while you slowly watch your opponents tear your previous strategy to shreds by placing his units there.... YOU DIDN'T EVEN NEED THAT SPACE BRAD!

Ugh, Brad is always such a jerk.

There is, there is! Luckily I don't think we will ever run out of games. Ha! We were going to keep the back shelf only for games that we've played, but since we're relatively new it was a pretty naked shelf. It just didn't look right. But yes, many more episodes on the way. We don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

I wish you guys did more of an overview of the game before digging in to the turn-to-turn minutia. kinda like, diving in from 50,000 feet getting closer and closer to the details.

What about moving your pawns? Intructions tell how how to swap sides using the bought sides... You actually should use the box since it stores all the tokens you use in the game. Cards can be used when you're the active player..
@seanmartinson62497 жыл бұрын
Hate to be THAT person, but I'm pretty sure you only roll every turn if you're still on the starting point, if you've moved off to buy something, you don't get to roll until it's your turn again.
@GirlsGameShelf7 жыл бұрын
Hi THAT person =). Actually, the "divine blessing" is the first of 4 steps in a turn, and takes place regardless of where anyone is on the board. If players didn't roll on each turn, building up enough resources would be pretty difficult. A player also receives a "divine blessing" if they are ousted from their spot on the board by another player or via card effects. If there's a conflict when resolving the dice, instead of all players resolving the effects immediately, they resolve in turn order starting with the active player.
@seanmartinson62497 жыл бұрын
Okay, that makes sense, my bad, does that mean that every player automatically returns to their starting point when their turn starts? Or do they just stay where they are? Or does it just not matter where your marker is at all and i'm being a moron?
@GirlsGameShelf7 жыл бұрын
Sean Martinson It only matters where your marker is if someone else wants to occupy a portal you're in so that they can purchase a card. That's when you get ousted and get that extra divine blessing. Players are free to move wherever they need to in order to purchase cards. They don't return to their starting positions unless ousted.
