42:15 Dale: Surely flour isn't flammable. Kathleen: It's incredibly flammable. Dale (sarcastically): Oh, I should have researched that. bahahahaha.

It really took me up to the beginning of this session to realise that it is the flour tower and not the flower tower. Kind of misunderstood that. Seemed to be a nice name :D

Another great episode! Dale had me chuckling with the Righteous Principals and their "table talk" a pretty great amount, but also him "Jimming" the camera a few times throughout the episode was pretty funny. Everyone did a pretty great job roleplaying their character (as always) but especially with the tired aspect that I think many players forget adventurers would be experiencing after having done so much in one day.
@Snowy1236 жыл бұрын
Extra points to Dale for making the combat interesting with the table talk and I like how he has directed the narrative that our group is evil. If you look at it superficially we are evil, we've got demons, we're helping an evil dragon. I'm sure all "evil" people think they're doing the righteous thing.

(not finished with the episode yet but..) I think the polite thing to do now would be to buy the Tasty Tart for -100 gold, fight the ghost and then give both the bakery and money to hallow. I mean, that'd be nice ;)
@EricOrang6 жыл бұрын
I was gonna say that maybe hollow could "buy" the haunted bakery because he's probably make enough buns normally but that doesn't seem to be an option anymore.

Zara Bari i think unlikely but really cool idea. He doesn't eat. Dragons love to eat :D
@Zara-Bari6 жыл бұрын
It does seem pretty unlikely, and maybe my lack of D&D knowledge is showing, but does a dragon made of brass or bronze or whatever maybe not want to eat regular food, since they're not made of fleshy bits? Like, is it an established thing what metallic dragons eat? And are they actually metal or just metal colored, because that is a different, other thing. Anyway, the creative writer in me had that idea and went on an exciting imaginary adventure of possibilities.
Metallic dragons just have metal-colored scales, iirc.
@Zara-Bari6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that info. I feel like there's a world of possibilities that's closed off by that, but good to know anyway.

Man, I wish my monk could hit like Dande. He has a plus 7 to hit but has only connected 6 out of 20 attacks in the past few sessions. In general, my rolls are 90% below 10 and 10% 15-20 on things that don't matter (perception when the rest of the party is also doing so, for example).

I've been swapping out dice a lot. I think I'm getting all the low rolls out of the dice first and get disappointed. Maybe I should stick to one set of dice until the high numbers are left.

My biggest problem with Dale is that the NPCs don't do rolls unless it coincides with his story. That's cool and all for comedy, but when it can get characters killed or derails plans just because is never a good idea. I can't wait until his contract is up. He really isn't that good of a DM.
@jacefairis12896 жыл бұрын
They're not playing a 'normal' DnD game -- they've said repeatedly that they're playing to entertain, deliberately structuring their games to create a fun narrative and highlight their improv. And in that regard, Dale does great -- these games are loads of fun to watch! Dale is great at keeping the game rolling smoothly, saying yes to the players, giving gentle nudges while avoiding railroading, and generally creating a great show.
@amnesix3006 жыл бұрын
@@jacefairis1289 I would also love to see how he DMs when he's on a regular game. He's been doing an amazing job, at least in this campaign, of giving the crew chances to flesh out their characters and then building the story around it.
@AthAthanasius4 жыл бұрын
@@amnesix300 IIRC back in the Escape From Semolo Plateau campaign Dale made some comments near the start about not DM'ing his usual way as this was for the purpose of entertaining others.
